Lorraine A Hoska, 86

Mass of Christian Burial was held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Oakdale, MN on Wednesday, November 15 at 12 noon for Lorraine A. Hoska. Lorraine passed away on Nov. 12, 2000 at the age of 86.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Frank and Katherine Robinson; brothers, Vigil “Bud”, Merrill and George Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (John) Karon; son, David R. (Dorothy); and Stepson, Gerald (fiancee Eva); eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Robert J. Ihrke, 76

Funeral services are set for Thursday, Nov. 17, at 5 p.m. at Westbrook Funeral Home, Westbrook, MN for Robert J. Ihrke. Visitation will be at the Westbrook Funeral Home on Thursday at 4 p.m. until time of services. Msgr. Paul Evers will officiate with Military Rites by the Westbrook American Legion and VFW.

Casket bearers will be Scott Ihrke and Joe Ihrke with interment at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in North Branch Michigan.

Robert J. Ihrke was born December 22, 1923 in Fremont Township, Mayville, Michigan to Orville and Relva (Wells) Ihrke. He grew up in Michigan and attended school there. He served in the United States Army. After the service he moved to St. Paul Minnesota where he drove truck. He was a member of the Eagles Club in St. Paul and enjoyed playing pool. He also enjoyed attending Pow Wows. The past 20 years, Robert has lived in the Tracy and Westbrook areas. Bob collected toy cars. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

On November 10, 2000, Robert died at the Tracy Hospital at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 18 days.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Ihrke, Jr. and his wife Margaret and Edward Ihrke with his wife Lucy all of St. Paul; grandchildren Tina, Tony, Theresa, Wade, Josh, Michael, Christine, Amy, Scott and Joe; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Ernest and wife Deefores Ihrke and Leona Huntley all of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mary, infant daughter and great-grandson, Michael Lee Barber Jr.

Jennie Eliza Olsen, 90

Jennie Eliza Olsen was born March 22, 1910 at Trent, SD to James and Sarah (Stilts) Allen. The family moved to the Storden-Windom area where Jennie grew up and attended country schools near Windom.

In 1926, Jennie was married to Theodore Reese at Storden, MN and to this union one son was born.

Jennie was married to Howard Olsen in 1943 at Sioux Falls, SD. They lived in Westbrook for a time and she had worked as a waitress. They then moved to Tracy to make their home. After the death of her husband Jennie continued to live in her own home until the last few years when she moved to the Twin Circle Apartments in Tracy.

She was baptized and confirmed at the Amo Church near Storden and was a member of the Tracy United Methodist Church. Her hobbies and interests included crocheting and embroidery.

Jennie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, George and Harriet Reese of Tracy; four grandchildren, Nancy Ansari of CA, Marlys O'Neal of Granite Falls, MN, Marilyn Savage of LA and George Reese, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX; one brother, Hugh Allen of Estherville, IA; one sister, Lila Schutz of Tracy; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Her parents, husband and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Evelyn Quillin, 85

Evelyn A. Quillin (nee Fick), of South Mpls. was born on June 27, 1915 in Revere, MN to Louis and Katy (Steinle) Fick. She passed away on November 9, 2000 at the age of 85 years, at Fairview Southdale Hospital, Edina, MN.

Evelyn attended Mankato Normal School and received her teaching certificate. She taught school in Waseca, Ely and Mpls.

She married Milo Quillin on October 14, 1948, in Tracy, MN. She retired from Abbott-Northwestern Hospital where she worked as a station secretary.

In retirement she enjoyed her home, garden, church and family activities. Due to failing health, she resided at Mount Olivet Careview Home for the past 3 years.

Evelyn is survived by he son, Dan Quillin and wife Mary Hinz-Quillin of Mpls.; sisters, Jean Dahltorp of Indiana, Catherine (Ed) Williamson of South Dakota and Shirlee Eilefson of Oregon; sisters-in-law, Fatt and Frankie Fick; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo; brothers, Myron, Lewis, Lawrence and Graham Fick; sisters, Alberta Wiggins and Gertrude Hamm.

Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 13 at Church of St. Helena in Minneapolis. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery.

Memorials preferred to Mount Olivet Careview Home or Children's Home Society of Minnesota.

Bradshaw Funeral Services at Minneapolis handled arrangements.
