Brian Schumacher, 31

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, Jan. 17, 2000 for Brian E. Schumacher, who died suddenly on Jan. 11 due to injuries sustained in a car accident. Services were held at the Church of Saint Bonaventure in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Pall bearers were Mark Schmakel, Dan Torgimson, Isaac Kelly, Todd Steiner, Tim Pakkala and Glen Van Hecke.

He is survived by his mother Donna; father Gene Schumacher and his wife Lea; brother Don; sisters, Dianne (Kevin) Hanson, Susanne; stepbrother Eric Nelson; stepsister, Missy Nelson; grandmother Vivian Schumacher of Tracy; “Grandma” Jean, and many other relatives and friends.

Interment was at the Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN. Gill Brothers Bloomington-Richfield Chapel handled arrangements.

John A. Pool, 72

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 2, 2000 for John A. Pool at Almlie Funeral Home, Tracy, MN.

Speaker was Barry Daniels. Casket bearers were Lonnie Clark, Jim Garvin, Al Pool, Neil Daniels, Adolph Rabe and Chris Fischer.

John Alden Pool was born April 30, 1927 to Stephen and Alma (Runge) Pool at Chandler, MN. They moved to a farm north of Garvin, MN in 1932. He received his education attending country school in Custer Township. In 1944 he served with the Merchant Marines and from 1945 to 1952 with the US Army.

On August 5, 1961 he married Betty Daniels at the Tracy Kingdom Hall. They made their home in Tracy. John was a member of the Tracy congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

John's carpenter career spanned nearly 30 years. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and grandchildren, and was well liked by everyone who knew him.

John passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Betty of Tracy, two sons, Rick Pool of Tracy, MN; Steve Pool and wife Laura, Tracy, MN; two daughters, Debra, husband Dan Salfer, Wabasso, MN; Dawn, husband Cary Quigley, Tracy, MN; six grandchildren, Alisa, Kendra and Alden Salfer and Nicole, John and Elizabeth Pool; five sisters, Mildred Garvin and Henrietta Garvin, Tracy, MN; Dorothy Rabe and Carol Grunwald, Walnut Grove, MN; Amy Keopke of South Dakota, two brothers Herb Pool, Milroy, MN; Robert Pool, Minneapolis, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a son, Todd, in 1991, his parents, four brothers, William, Steven, George and Alvin, and one sister, Sylvia.

Interment was at Tracy City Cemetery with Almlie Funeral Home handling arrangements.
