Linda Peschges, 56

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Mar. 24, 2001 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Currie for Linda Peschges. Msgr. Paul Evers officiated. The organist was Patty LeClaire with special music by the IHM Choir.

The pallbearers were Joe Peschges, Jr., Jay Peschges, Brad Peschges, Fred Knutson, Dale Vosberg and Mike Peschges.

Linda Louise Peschges was born on August 17, 1944 at Slayton, MN to Walter and Mildred Smith Cohrs. She grew up on the family farm, near Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1962. She graduated from beauty school in Minneapolis.

On September 15, 1964, she and Raymond (Toby) Peschges were married at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Westbrook. Following their marriage, they lived in Denver while Toby was in the service. After his discharge in 1965, they moved to Westbrook and lived there until 1970. She worked as a hairdresser in Slayton before she began operating her own beauty shop in Currie.

She and Toby ran the grocery store in Currie for a few years. She closed her shop when her health failed.

Linda passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 21, 2001 at the age of 56.

She was a member of IHM Church, the W.C.C.W. and she sang in the church choir. She belonged to the Currie Town and Country Club and the Currie Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, reading and doing puzzles.

Survivors include her husband, Toby of Currie; two sons and their wives Darren and Ann Peschges of Mountain Lake, MN and Scott and Anita Peschges of Currie; eight grandchildren Andrew, Maria, Matthew, Gemma, Cecilia, Gianna, Wyatt and Teagan Peschges; her mother, Mildred Cohrs of Dovray, MN; two brothers Edward Cohrs and his wife Roxy of Sanborn, MN and Paul Cohrs of Dovray, MN; and a sister Rosanne Schmidt of Tracy.

She is preceded in death by her father Walter Cohrs.

Interment was at Calvary Cemetery in Currie with the Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton handling arrangements.
