BOLD sweeps softball team, 9-3, 8-4

The Panther girls softball team dropped a pair of games to BOLD Tuesday night at Olivia. The scores were 9-3 and 8-4. On the first game Panther coach Dave Sogge said, "We out-hit them, we out-played them, they out-scored us. However, they got the timely hits. We took that one bad inning a bit too far, we gave up all 9 runs in the third inning."

Megan Anderson pitched both games for the Panthers.

"Neither team hit the ball well in the second game," said Sogge. "Both pitchers walked 7 hitters. Again it came down to timely hits. They got them, we didn't."

TMB girls gain split with Granite

The Panther girls softball team split a double header with Yellow Medicine East at Tracy Thursday. The Panthers won the first game 9-5 and lost the second 17-0. Tracy/Milroy/Balaton's season record now stands at 1-3 and they are 1-1 in the 212 Conference.

"YME's Greta Peterson is the class pitcher of the 212 Conference and we beat her up in the first game," said Panther Coach Dave Sogge. "I said last week we have to hit the ball better and today we did. We had 18 hits off Greta in that first game. That's awesome!"
