Betty Addison, 64

Betty Jean Barglof Addison, 64, of White Hall, AR, died Monday, June 9, 2003, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 23, 1938 in Tracy, MN to the late Arthur and Elsie Good Barglof. She graduated form high school in Tracy, MN in 1955. She was a self-employed bookkeeper and a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was a past president of the Mary Guild Society and president of the Altar Guild Society. She was also the Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the Mary Guild Society. She was previously a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Pine Bluff, where she served as organist and past president of the Altar Guild Society and the Mary Guild Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Marvin Barglof, Arden Barglof and Harleth Barglof.

She is survived by her husband, Darlow Edward Addison of White Hall, whom she married October 14, 1955; three sons, Lee Edward Addison of Delta Junction, Alaska, Mark Arthur Addison of Redfield and Kent Darlow Addison of Mabelvale; four daughters, Julie Kay Drye of Jefferson, Lori Annette Jones of Little Rock, Rebecca Jean Addison Scott of Bryant and Dawn Addison Ferguson of White Hall; one brother, John Barglof of Minneapolis, MN; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 12, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Clausing officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery by Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall, AR.

Pallbearers were Steve Ferguson, J.D. Jones, Jason Reynolds, Rick Ward, Eric Davis, Waymon Meins, Lloyd Wessels and David Edwards.

Duane "Sam" Mickelson, 72

Funeral services were held on Monday, June 16, 2003 at Willow Lake Lutheran Church for Duane "Sam" Mickelson.

Duane "Sam" Ernest Mickelson was born June 24, 1930 in Holly Township, Murray County, Minnesota to Ernest N and Ruby (Shaw) Mickelson. He was baptized and confirmed at Willow Lake Lutheran Church, in rural Tracy, and attended District #24 Country School. Sam attended auctioneering school in Mason City, Iowa and in 1950 served active duty with the National Guard.

Duane was united in marriage to Donna Peterson on May 6, 1955 at Willow Lake Lutheran Church. They settled in Tracy and in 1957 moved to a farm southwest of Tracy, where they lived until moving into Walnut Grove in 1969.

He then purchased the Walnut Grove sales barn.

He was known for his auctioneering and had several other jobs during his career. "Sam" was a member of the Walnut Grove American Legion, enjoyed softball - coaching as well, hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cards and watching ball games on T.V.

Duane Ernest Mickelson passed away June 12, 2003 at the Tracy Nursing Home in Tracy, Minnesota, at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 18 days.

He is survived by his wife Donna of Walnut Grove; children Brenda (Steve) Jans of Westbrook, Cindy (Rick) Davis of Waucoma, Iowa, MaryJo (Marvin-"Louie") Sanow of Tracy and David Mickelson of Walnut Grove; nine grandchildren Megan, Scott, Michael, Amanda, Joe, Dan, Cassie, Logan and Katy; two sisters Beverly (Jack) Adams of Minnetonka, Marilyn (Richard) Hansen of Walnut Grove; three brothers Jerome (Judy) of Garvin, Merlyn of Tracy and Richard (Jan) of Alexandria; sister-in-law Anna Mae Mickelson of Tracy; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Roger.

Burial was in the church cemetery, with the Walnut Grove Funeral Home handling arrangements.

Alford Babcock, 48

Alford (Al) Wayne Babcock, Tracy, MN, died Monday, June 16, 2003 at his home in Tracy at the age of 48. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the Tracy Alliance Church, Tracy. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Arrangements are being handled by Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy.
