Dennis Veroeven, 51

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 23, 2003 for Dennis Veroeven at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Walnut Grove.

Dennis "Cub" Veroeven was born December 12, 1951 in Westbrook, Minnesota to Robert and Adeline (Rys) Veroeven. He grew up in the Walnut Grove area, graduating from Walnut Grove High School in 1969. After graduation Cub started farming and farmed his entire life. He loved the outdoors and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. The past several years he was also involved in the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant.

On August 19, 2003 Dennis Robert Veroeven died at the Tracy Hospital at the age of 51 years, 8 months and 7 days.

He is survived by his father Robert Veroeven of Walnut Grove, two sisters and one brother; Barbara Ann Veroeven of Marshall, Mary Jean Veroeven of Marshall and Duane (Sue) Veroeven of St. Louis Park, Minnesota. He is also survived by one niece Kristina.

Dennis was preceded in death by his mother.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Walnut Grove with the Walnut Grove Funeral Home handled arrangements.
