TMB softball sweeps MACCRAY, 2-1 & 5-3

Team has winning record at mid-season.

The Panther girls' softball team swept a double header with MACCRAY at Raymond Monday by scores of 2-1 and 5-3. The pair of wins improved Tracy/Milroy/Balaton's season record to 5-4 and they are now 3-3 in the 212 Conference.

Megan Anderson pitched both games and got both wins. In the first game she gave up 1 run on 2 hits while striking out 3 and walking 1. In the second game she gave up 3 runs on 7 hits while striking out 2 and walking 1.

Stacy LaVoy led the 8 hit Panther attack in the first game going 2 for 3 with a pair of singles. In the second game Emily Miller was 2 for 2 while Lindsay Erickson was 2 for 3 with a triple and 3 runs batted in. Kasey Loeslie also hit a triple for TMB.


Golfers win 212 dual meets

The Panther boys' and girls' golf teams topped MACCRAY last Thursday at Tracy. Golfers won anoher dual at Renville the next day. "We are winning but not playing very well," said Panther Coach Randy McIntire.

The boys' team scores were: TMB, 185, MACCRAY, 187.

Scoring for the Panther boys' were: Bryan Jackson, 44; Eric Peterson, 44; Nick Miller, 48; Jake Peterreins, 49. MACCRAY's Barry Rothwell was the boys medalist with a 43.

The Panther girls won 231-257. Scoring for the girls were: Sara Macken, 52; Kayla Lau, 52; Kim Lau, 62; Shanel Hansen, 65. MACCRAY's Kaci Hansen was the girls medalist with a 49.

Renville meet

On Friday the golf teams traveled to Renville where the boys and the girls again won. The boys won 184-194 and the girls shot a 231 to win over Renville County West's incomplete score.

Scoring for the boys were: Eric Peterson, 41; Jake Peterreins, 44; Mark Buysse, 48; Bryan Jackson, 51. Scoring for the girls were: Kayla Lau, 53; Kim Lau, 58; Shanel Hansen, 58; Cassie Bryant, 62.

Renville County West's Jeff Hunnerkoch was the boys medalist with a 37 and Kayla Lau's 53 was low for the girls.


Fairmont tests tracksters

The Panther girls were second and the boys fourth at the Fairmont Invitational last Thursday. The girls team scores were: 1) Fairmont, 127 1/2; 2)TMB, 55 1/2; 3)JCC, 48; 4)Windom, 41.

"The Fairmont track teams are just awesome," said Panther Coach Steve Jones. "They are AA and their girls have won the state the last three years and they and the boys are so deep in every event. "

The boys team scores were: 1) Fairmont, 1211; 2) Windom, 53; 3) JCC, 49; 4) TMB, 44.
