Blia Kao Her, 44

Funeral services were held at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home on Saturday, July 10, 2004 and continued until 11 a.m. on Monday, July 12 for Blia Kao Her, age 44 of Walnut Grove, MN.

Blia Kao Her passed away on June 22, 2004 at the Mayo Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

Blia Kao Her was born in Laos on June 26, 1960 to Chue Tong Her and Song Vang Her. In August of 1978, he was united in marriage to Kong Yang. While in Laos, he worked in the military. Blia Kao Her also served as a group cultural leader. He and his family moved to Walnut Grove on November 11, 2000.

Blia Kao Her was a member of the Hmong Language Institute. He was also very active fixing cars, farming, and gardening. He was a very good man and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife: Kong Yang Her; three sons: Keng Her, Na Her, and Teng Her; three daughters: Chong Her, Mai Yia Her, and Cha Her; and two sisters in Laos: Lia Her and Kou Her. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Committal services began at 12 noon at the Marshall City Cemetery on Monday, July 12, 2004. The Walnut Grove Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Henry Nelson

Memorial services will be held for former Gales Township resident, Henry J. Nelson, on Thursday, July 15, at 2:30 p.m. at the Almlie Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at the Tracy Cemetery.

Henry passed away on July 10, 2004 in Denver, CO.
