Mae Umble, 86

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004 at Tracy Alliance Church for Mae Umble. Rev. Edsel Miller officiated. Pianist was Debbie Miller with special music by Melissa Sahlstrom and Debbie Miller.

Casket bearers were Gary Garrels, Bradley Starnes, Brian Starnes, Brent Starnes, Mark DeBlieck and Mike Grams.

Mae Umble was born February 24, 1918 to Charles and Nannie (Wates) Murphy in Knoxville, IA. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended country school.

On December 31, 1937 Mae married Frank Umble at the Church of Christ in Tracy, MN where they made their home. Mae was a housewife and also worked as a cook at the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Balaton. She was a member of the Tracy Alliance Church and enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

As her health failed Mae became a resident of the Auburn Manor Care Center in Chaska, MN, where she could be close to her daughters. On Friday, December 17, 2004 Mae died at the Auburn Manor at the age of 86.

Mae is survived by two daughters, Norma (Ray) Grams of Pine River, Mn and Wanda (Cameron) Faircloth of Prior Lake, MN; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; one sister, Laveda Stowell of Maplewood, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her parents, husband, Frank, two brothers, Asbury and Jay and two sisters, Fern Clark and Mildred Merrill preceded her in death.

Interment was in the Tracy City Cemetery with the Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handling the arrangements.
