Boys beat JCC for 7th win

The Panher boys basketball team earned their seventh win of the season Monday night at Tracy as they won over the Jackson County Central Huskies 76-73. The win improved Tracy/Milroy/Balaton's season record to 713 and they are 3 and 9 in the 212 Conference. JCC's season record dropped to 2-17 with the loss.

"It was a great win for us," said Panther Coach Nat Boyer. "The boys played very well and kept their intensity for the whole game."

Top 212 teams sink boys

The Panther boys' basketball team found out how tough the 212 Conference can be when it dropped three conference games in three nights last week. The team lost to BOLD 76-57 at Bird Island on Thursday, lost to MACCRAY 83-69 at Tracy on Friday and lost to ACGC at Grove City 73-50 on Saturday.

The games dropped Tracy/Milroy/Balaton's season record to 6-13 and 3-9 in the 212 Conference.


ACGC wins 212 title, Panthers girls second

The Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Falcons downed the Panther girls 51-36 to sew up the 212 Conference championship at Grove City Saturday night. The loss left Tracy/Milroy/Balaton with an 11-2 in the conference, good for second place. The Falcons clinched the conference title with a perfect 14-0 mark.

The Panthers held the Falcons to a 6-6 first period tie but after that it was all ACGC as the Falcons out-scored Tracy/Milroy/Balaton in every quarter the rest of the game. With the game score at 14-10 in favor of ACGC midway in the second period the Falcons used a 6-2 run , that featured two, three-pointers, to carry a 20-12 lead to the locker room at half-time. In the second half the Falcons added four more three pointers to keep their scoring advantage and win the game.

Girls finish conference season with 12-2 mark

The Panther girls basketball team closed out their home season at Tracy Tuesday night with a resounding win over the Central Minnesota Christian School by a score of 97-42. The win improved Tracy/Milory/Balaton's season record to 14-6 and they finished conference play with a 12-2 record good for a second place finish behind ACGC


Cole Coreman records three pins in a night

The Panther wrestling team went 2-1 in a quadrangular meet at Canby Thursday night. Tracy/Milroy/Balaton lost to Canby 60-6, but Renville County West 43-21 and Red Rock Central/W-WG 50-24.

Cole Cooreman had a big night for the Panthers when he registered the only win over Canby with a pin and then registered two more pins in the RCW and RRC/W-WG matches.

Wrestlers eliminated from team tournament

The Panther wrestling team was knocked out of the Section 3AA Team Wrestling Tournament at Granite Falls Tuesday night by Redwood Valley 39-22. The Panthers had won a coin toss to break a tie with Redwood Valley in the seeding process and had tied the Cardinals in their only meeting of the season but Redwood Valley proved to be too much for Tracy/Milroy/Balaton in this meet.

T/M/B got off to a 22-3 lead, thanks in part to Ross Ryan's pin at 125, but the Cardinals then re-grouped and out-scored the Panthers 36-0 in the last part of the meet.
