Edythe Revard, 90

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy for Edythe E. Revard.

Edythe Ethal Revard was born April 4, 1916 to Arthur and Winifred (Hills) Lambdin in Bradley, SD. She moved to Tracy, MN as a young girl with her family and attended Tracy Public Schools, graduating in 1934 from Tracy High School.

In the early 1940’s Edythe married A.D. (Bud) Beal in Mankato, MN, where they made their home. Edythe moved back to Tracy in 1943 and went to work for Elaine’s Dress Shop in Tracy. In 1955 she married Felix (Phil) Revard. They made their home in Tracy where she remained the rest of her life. After their marriage Edythe went to work for Culligan in Tracy where she worked for 16 years until her retirement. Phil and Edythe also operated a popcorn stand behind their home on Highway 14 in Tracy for many years.

She was a member of the Tracy Presbyterian Church in Tracy and over the years had been very active in the church women’s groups. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, fishing and traveling. Edythe loved going on vacation with her daughter and her husband in their motor home.

In 2000 Edythe moved into the O’Brien Court and in November of 2005 she became a resident of the Tracy Nursing Home where she died Monday, October 9, 2006 at the age of 90.

Edythe is survived by her one daughter, Judith (Lee) Goodwin of New Brighton, MN; two grandsons, Brian (Annette) Goodwin of New Brighton, MN and Todd (Annie Hoyer) Goodwin of Hudson, WI; one great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Goodwin of New Brighton, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her parents, husband Phil, and one sister, Ethel Johnson preceded her in death.

Interment was in the Tracy City Cemetery with the Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handling the arrangements.


Lorraine Meyer, 85

Funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 6, 2006 for Lorraine Meyer at the Tracy Lutheran Church.

Lorraine Bernice Meyer was born April 20, 1921 to John B. and Malena (Iverson) Furan on the family farm near Garvin, MN, Murray County. She was baptized and confirmed at the Modum Lutheran Church, rural Garvin and attended Garvin Public Schools. As a young girl Lorraine assisted and worked for numerous friends, relatives and neighbors. She later went to work for Zeke’s Cafe’ in Tracy as a waitress.

On March 24, 1944 Lorraine married Wayne F. Meyer in Tracy, MN and they made their home on a farm east of Tracy. In 1948 they moved to a farm south of Tracy and Lorraine remained living on one of the farm sites until 1999, when she moved into the Twin Circle Apartments in Tracy.

Over the years on the farm Lorraine raised chickens and enjoyed being a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Tracy Lutheran Church and was active in her church circle. Lorraine was also a past member of the Primetimers, Bunco Club, Birthday Club, SSS Club, Mother’s Club, Tracy VFW Auxiliary and Sons of Norway. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, playing cards, sewing, embroidering and baking, always sharing these things with family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling and treasured her memories of her trips to Norway.

In December of 2003 Lorraine became a resident of the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy where she died Monday, October 2, 2006 at the age of 85.

Lorraine is survived by her one daughter, LaVonne (Mike) Youngs of Marshall, MN; two sons, John (Sharon) Meyer of Tracy, MN and Dennis (Sue) Meyer of Muskego, WI; three grandchildren, Jeff (Carrie) Meyer of Tracy, MN, Jessica (Adrian) Fleming of Good Thunder, MN and Nicole (Rob) Johnson of Mankato, MN; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson, Skyler; one sister-in-law, Wilma Furan; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her parents, husband, Wayne, seven brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Burial was in the Tracy City Cemetery with the Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handling the arrangements.


Brad Munson, 47

Brad Munson, 47, of Walnut Grove, MN passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at his home in Walnut Grove. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove, MN.

Bradley Gene Munson was born on March 11, 1959 to Virgil “Hap” and Donna (Rue) Munson in Westbrook, MN. Brad was baptized at Nettiewynntt Methodist Church in rural Walnut Grove and was confirmed at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1977. Following graduation Brad joined his father building bridges.

Brad was united in marriage to Teresa Pemble on September 27, 1980 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Brad built bridges all across the state of Minnesota.

Brad was a member of the Walnut Grove Jaycee’s, W.G.I. Investors and Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing pool, riding motorcycle, volleyball, golf, reading and traveling with his family. Brad’s passion was building bridges.

Brad is survived by his wife Teri of Walnut Grove; children: Casie, Christopher, Jamie, all of Walnut Grove; parents Hap and Donna Munson, Walnut Grove; brothers and sisters: Jim & Mary Munson, Tracy, Todd Munson, Lamberton, Dawn Munson, Walnut Grove and Kathy & Curt Kockelman, Walnut Grove; nieces and nephews: Mandy Munson, Ashley Munson (god-daughter), Justin Munson, Brandy Munson, Layne Kockelman, Trey Kockelman (godson); great-niece Gemini Johnson; and many other cousins, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

The Walnut Grove Funeral Home handled the arrangements.


Kathryn Leversedge, 41

A burial service is scheduled for Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. for Kathryn (Kathy) Leversedge, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Currie.

Kathryn (Kathy) Leversedge, age 41, of Minneapolis, MN was born March 3, 1965 in Tracy, MN the youngest of eight children born to Harold and Betty Leversedge. Kathy grew up in Currie, MN. She attended school in Currie for five years, she then attended Tracy Elementary and Tracy High School graduating in 1983.

While attending high school, she worked as a nursing assistant at the Christian Manor Nursing Home in Tracy caring for, among others, her mother Betty. After the death of her mother in 1983, Kathy moved to Minneapolis and worked at Walker Methodist Nursing Home. She remained at Walker until her Huntington’s Disease no longer allowed her to work.

In 2003 Kathy became a resident of Axis Healthcare in Roseville, where she was cared for until her death on July 28, 2006 of Huntingson’s Disease.

Kathy is survived by her father Harold Leversedge and stepmother Elaine Engen of Currie, brothers Lewis of Minneapolis, MN, Bruce (Brigette) of Minneapolis, MN, Philip (Erica) of Two Harbors, MN, Alan (Ok) of Colorado Springs, CO and Loren of Eagle Lake, MN and special friend Rick Dalos, step-siblings David (Eunice) Engen of Westbrook, MN, Dale (Paula) Engen of Bemidji, MN, Denis (Brenda) Engen of Westbrook, MN, Julie (Dean McDaniel) Wyffels of Marshall, MN and Nancy (Joe) Beech of Hendricks, MN, plus many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother and two brothers, Scott and Brian.

A memorial service was held August 18, 2006 at Ft. Snelling Chapel in St. Paul, MN.

Walter Hansen, 92

Memorial services were held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 for Walter A. Hansen at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy.

Walter Albin Hansen was born March 3, 1914 to William and Mollie (Anderson) Hansen in Canby, Yellow Medicine County, MN. He was baptized on May 27, 1914 and confirmed on July 19, 1948 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Tracy, MN. He attended Tracy Public Schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army in April of 1942. After serving over seas in Europe for a year and a half Walt got his Honorable Discharge in November of 1945 and returned to Tracy.

On January 11, 1946 Walter married Victoria E. Johnson at the Zion Lutheran Church and they made their home in Tracy. Walt worked for the Chicago-North Western Railroad for 25 years. Then in 1968 he and his wife bought the Westside Grocery in Tracy, operating it until 1976 when they sold the business.

Walt was a past member of the Zion Lutheran Church and the Tracy Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, watching golf on television and was an avid Vikings fan.

In April of 2005 Walter became a resident of the Olivia Healthcare Center in Olivia, MN where he died Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at the age of 92.

Walt is survived by his wife, Victoria of Olivia, MN; one daughter, Barbara (Steve) Sandquist of Marshall, MN; one son, David (Claudia) Hansen of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren, Beth Pearcy, Jill Pearcy, Emily Hansen, Andrew Hansen and Adam Hansen; one great grandson, Ashton Pearcy; two sisters, Winnie Johnson and Bernice Christopherson, both of Marshall, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.

His parents, infant daughter, Jane, five sisters, Norma Emerson, Ester Comins, Pearl Marcotte Feuerstein, Jean Palmer and Mary Sanderson; two brothers, Clarence and Hank Knutson preceded him in death.

The family requests that all memorials be given to any of the following organizations instead of flowers: Alzheimer’s Treatment and Research Center of St. Paul, MN, Prairie Home Hospice, Renville County Hospice, Olivia Healthcare Center or the Tracy Nursing Home.

Interment was in Tracy City Cemetery with the Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handling the arrangements.
