Track season begins with new coach
New Head Track Coach Monica Headlee worked out her track prospects Monday in preparation for the first scheduled competition at the Dan Lennon Meet in Vermillion, South Dakota on March 26. The Panther Track Teams usually take only a few qualified athletes to Vermillion but will likely take more to the Minnesota State University at Mankato Meet on March 31.
Senior high school prospects include Aguilar Pablo, Tinke Albach, Arturo Bautista, Dan Deiter, Derek Evans, Shelby Evers, Megan Gilmore, M’Hesi Haugen, Malinda Her, Joshua Hook, David Jones, Rachel Jorde, Brandon Kirk, Dalton Kirk, Bridgit Kirsh, Jessica Mason, Daniel Mata, Carly Miller, Andrew Nelson, Steven Paradis, Nicole Pool, Andrew Prairie, James Prairie, Mackenzie Radel, Roxy Ryan, Logan Sanow, Anna Snyder, Rachel Stobb, John Swenhaugen, Ryan Tholen, Samuel Van Nevel, Dayna Vosberg, Cheri Willard, Pheng Thao and Hanna Roseland.
Junior high athletes are Arlin Bautista, Cody Christian, Kyle Hinrich, Andrea Martinez, Sam Moua, Michelle Petit, Lauren Schaar, Brandon Schroeder, Bee Thao, Karli Tholen, Destiny Vosberg, Blake Giles, Andrew Vroman and Taylor Welu.
| Softball opener is April 3 The Panther girls’ softball team started workouts on Tuesday under new Head Coach Paul Skoglund. The Panthers will open the softball season April 3 against Lincoln County. Lincoln County is a new pairing for softball and baseball including Lincoln H.I., Lake Benton and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton. Varsity candidates include Lisa Bauer, Brittanie Carlson, Lindsey Daniels, Mallory Fultz, Jacqueline Haecherl, Ashley Kirk, Michelle Lanoue, Cassandra Miller, Elizabeth Rayman, Rita Ryan, Rebecca Towne and Rebekah Zens. B-squad candidates are Adria Dolan, Haley Hebig, Jasmyn King, Kayla Lanners, Brittany Larson, Michelle Lenertz, Amber Rasmussen, Mai Ka Yang, Shea Lanoue and Jessica Noakes. Junior high prospects are Alexis Beierman, Heidi Bengston, Shauna Bjorklund, Ashley Daniels, Kayla Daniels, Brittany Hanson, Anna Johnson, Katherine Johnston, Jordan Lavoie, Anna Pommier, Darian Sanders, Erin Story, Megan Van Essen, Rachel Wilking, Becca Chandler and Michaela Miller. |
