Bruce Kirkpatrick, 86
Bruce W. Kirkpatrick, Registered Pharmacist, age
86, passed away August 27, 2008 at Our Lady of Good
Counsel Home, St. Paul.
Survived by his wife, Marcella; daughters, Linda
(James) Burri, Candy (James) Moffitt; son, Peter;
grandchildren, Matthew, Michael & Sarah; brother,
Dean (Mava) Kirkpatrick.
A veteran of WWII, involved with Masons, Eastern
Star, & Scottish Rite. Memorial Service Wed.,
September 3, 2 p.m., visitation 1 p.m. at Minnetonka
Lutheran Church, 16023 Mtka Blvd., Mtka. Masonic
Service, open to all, on Saturday, September 13,
11 a.m. at 249 Water St, Excelsior.
Loren Leversedge, 45
Loren Leversedge, age 45, born July 2, 1963 in Tracy,
MN the last of seven sons of Harold and Betty Ann
Leversedge. He grew up in Currie, MN to the age
of 18. He attended school in Currie for 5 years,
he then attended Tracy Elementary and Tracy High
School until 1981. He moved to New Ulm to live with
his brother Philip & family New Ulm attending
Alternative School and receiving his GED.
He married Donna Groebner of New Ulm and they have
two children Ashley and Scott.
For the last 2-1/2 years, Loren was cared for at
Haugbeck Support Services. He moved to Sleepy Eye
Care Center shortly before his death. There after
saying goodbye to his family and friends he passed
away on August 24, 2008.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty, two
brothers, Scott and Brian, and his sister Kathy.
He is survived by children Ashley and Scott, his
father, Harold, of Slayton. He is also survived
by brothers, Lewis of Minneapolis, Bruce of Minneapolis,
Philip of Two Harbors, Alan of Colorado Springs.
A memorial service is scheduled for September 6,
2008 at 11:30 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in
Sleepy Eye. Memorials may be directed to the Huntington’s
Disease Society of America.
Rosella Truedson, 79
Rosella Romona Truedson was born January 15, 1929
to August and Ellen (Dahlgren) Johnson on a farm
in Johnsonville Township, Redwood County, MN. She
was baptized February 19, 1929 and later confirmed
at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove,
MN. She attended Country School District # 19 and
then Walnut Grove High School. After graduation
she attended Mankato Commercial College and received
her 2 year degree as a legal secretary. She worked
as a secretary for several insurance offices in
the metro area.
On September 12, 1959 Rosella married Warner Truedson
in Minneapolis, MN. They made their home in Tracy,
MN for a couple years and before moving to Walnut
Grove. In 1970 they moved onto the Truedson home
farm where they remained until 1999 when they retired
into Tracy. Over the years Rosella was a housewife
and mother and later worked as a home health aide
for Redwood County for approximately 10 years. In
2002 Rosella moved into an apartment in Marshall,
MN.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut
Grove her whole life where she was active in numerous
women’s’ groups. Rosella enjoyed flowers
and plants, painting, sculpting, wood carving and
was an avid reader. In the past she also enjoyed
raising and showing horses and trail riding.
On July 2, 2008 Rosella became a resident of the
Hospice House in Marshall where she died Monday,
August 25, 2008 at the age of 79.
Rosella is survived by her two sons, Scott (Lisa)
Truedson of Marshall, MN and Wayne Truedson of Walnut
Grove, MN; four granddaughters, Chelsea, Nicole,
Kelly and Regan; many nieces, nephews and a host
of friends.
Her husband, Warner, her parents, four brothers,
Elmer (Gertrude), Hubert, Harry (Beatrice), E. Robert,
and one sister, Elvina (William) Kaufenberg preceded
her in death.
Louise Wyffels, 85
Louise Madeline Wyffels was born October 22, 1922
in Marshall, Minnesota, one of 10 children of Math
and Elizabeth Anthony.
She married her sweetheart across the road, Charles
C. Wyffels and they were successful farmers in Minnesota.
Charles preceded her in death in May of 1978. She
retired to West St. Paul area to be near her son,
daughter and grandchildren. She is survived by Duane
C. Wyffels, retired, married to Doris in Roswell,
New Mexico, her daughter, Diane Godfrey, nurse in
Egan, Minnesota and Darlene Loose, realtor in Visalia,
California. She had three grandchildren and 5 great
grandchildren.
Three years ago, she left the snow country and moved
to Visalia near Darlene
She will be remembered by her love of flowers and
her home, her kindness, her love of life, family
and friends (and her grand-dogs) and her caregiver,
Maria Marquez. She continued her journey of believing
in God and Jesus Christ on August 19, 2008. She
instilled great pride, high ethics, the ability
to love and share in her children. She will be missed
by all.
On September 12, 2008 a mass will be said in her
memory by Father Bob Wyffels and Father Robert at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy at 11:00
a.m. Graveside Services will follow the Mass with
a reception in the church basement. Prior to the
Mass, the Rosary will be said at the church at 8:30
a.m. with visitation following rosary.
In lieu of flowers, she would love any assistance
to the local SPCA or charity of your choice.
