Daniel Finn, 69
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 16 at Tracy Christian & Missionary Alliance Church for Daniel E. Finn of Tracy, MN.
Daniel Edward Finn was born September 19, 1938 to Lorney and Selma (Adams) Finn in Willmar, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith and attended Willmar Public Schools.
On April 12, 1975 Dan married Nancy Cassman in Willmar and they made their home there. As a young man Dan worked at various jobs in the Willmar area. He then went to work for Jennie O Foods, as a forklift operator, retiring in 1988 after twenty eight years with the company. In 1992 they moved to Marshall, MN and in 1998 into Tracy, MN.
Dan enjoyed the outdoors and doing yard work, watching television, playing cards and card games and riding his scooter around town with his dog, “Meri”.
Recently, Dan became a resident of the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy. On Wednesday, February 13, 2008 Dan died at the Sanford-Tracy Medical Center at the age of 69.
Dan is survived by his wife, Nancy Finn of Tracy, MN; two daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Vickerman of Tracy, MN and Kathryn (Wesley) Penske of Marshall, MN; four grandchildren, Jordan, Amber, Jennifer and Stephanie Penske all of Marshall, MN; his mother, Selma Gunderson of Willmar, MN; three sisters, Sally (Gary) Bergeson of St. Paul, MN, Ardis (Ron) Mahlum of St. Paul, MN and Beverly Cain of Willmar, MN; one brother, Irenus (Sue) Finn of Aiken, MN; nieces, nephews and cousins.
His father, Lorney Finn, one son, Scott Cassman and his wife’s parents preceded him in death.
Interment will be in Tracy City Cemetery at a later date. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handled the arrangements. Online condolences may be placed at www.almliefh.com.
