Robert Lanners, 73
Services were held today, Wednesday,
July 8, 2009 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Currie, MN for
Robert N. Lanners of Tracy, MN, formerly of Marshall, MN.
Robert Nicholas Lanners was born
June 7, 1936 to James and Mary (Lentz) Lanners in Currie, MN, Murray
County. He was baptized and
confirmed in the Catholic faith and attended country school. As a young boy his family lived in the
Currie, Iona and Lismore areas.
On September 30, 1959 Robert married
Carol Miller at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Currie,
MN. They made their home in
Worthington, MN for a short time, where he worked for Campbell’s Soup, before
moving to a farm outside Currie. Robert raised and trained horses while living on the farm and in 1964
they moved to a farm near Garvin, MN. Over the years they lived on farms in the Balaton and Walnut Grove
areas, before moving into Marshall, MN. He worked for Swift’s and then Appleton Silo in Marshall and then moved
to Lynd, MN, where he continued to live after his wife’s death in 1991. Robert retired in 2006 after 29 years
as a route driver for the Marshall Independent newspaper. He was also a driver for the
Star-Tribune from Minneapolis, MN for many years.
On March 19, 1993 Robert married
Darlene Spielman and they made their home in Lynd for some time, before moving
to an apartment in Marshall. In
November of 2008 Robert became a resident of the Prairie View Healthcare Center
in Tracy.
Robert was active over the years in
bowling leagues and enjoyed fishing, hunting, raising and training horses while
living on the farm, Slayton stock car racing, and going to auctions and sales,
such as those held at the Walnut Grove Sale Barn.
On Saturday, July 4, 2009 Robert
died at the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy at the age of 73.
Robert is survived by his wife,
Darlene of Marshall, MN; two daughters, Connie (Randy) Schreier of Balaton, MN
and Shirley Peterson and fiancé, David Thooft, of Marshall, MN; five sons,
David (Dawn) Lanners of Wood Lake, MN, Kevin (Chris) Lanners of Tracy, MN, Mike
(Kellie) Lanners of Ruthton, MN, Dale (Kathy) Lanners of Russell, MN, and
Robert Jr. (Lisa) Lanners of Pipestone, MN; thirty three grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one
brother, Urban Lanners of Belle Plain, MN; one sister, Veronica Neyens of
Fulda, MN; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
His parents, first wife, Carol, one
grandson, Lance Peterson, and one son-in-law, Jim Peterson preceded him in
death.
Interment will be in the Calvary
Cemetery in Currie. The Almlie
Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements.

Robert Scott, 47
Robert Joseph Scott age 47 of Tracy,
MN died at his home on Sunday, July 5, 2009. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2009 at
the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy, with a rosary at 4:00 p.m. and a prayer
service at 7:00 p.m. Interment
will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Tracy. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is handling the
arrangements.

Madyson Stirn,
Madyson M. Stirn age four and half
months, of Tracy, MN, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, surrounded by her loving
family, at her home in Tracy. Services were held on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at
Tracy Lutheran Church for Madyson Stirn, age four and half months, of Tracy,
MN.
Madyson Marie Stirn was born
February 1, 2009 to Josh Stirn and Melissa Ohman in Marshall, MN. She was
baptized on May 3, 2009 at Tracy Lutheran Church.
Even though her life was short, she
touched the lives of many family, friends and care givers. She brought much joy
to her big brother, Hadyn, who would lovingly give her kisses and say, “Hey
Baby”, many times a day.
Due to complications suffered at
birth she lived but a short life. She did however, pass away peacefully, on
Saturday, June 20, 2009 at her home in Tracy with her loving family at her
side.
Madyson is survived by her father,
Josh Stirn, mother, Melissa Ohman and her brother, Hadyn, all of Tracy, MN;
grandparents, Scott and Abbie Stirn of Currie, MN, Dave Ohman, Shari Thomas and
Chris Thomas all of Tracy; Great grandparents, Milton and Agnes Stirn of
Currie, MN, and Lindy Haugen of Currie, Betty Foster of Tracy, Morris and
Virginia Ohman of Tracy, Ray and Marlene Torkelson of Tracy, and Arlen and
Linda Thomas of Tracy; great great grandparents, Dorothy Johnson of Storden,
MN; aunts and uncles, Malinda Haack and Sheena Stirn of Currie, MN, Jabes,
Taylor, and Bethany Thomas, all of Tracy, MN; cousins, Zachary and Joseph
Larson, Jaydon and Isiaih Wahl, and Alayna Reints, all of Currie, MN; many
other numerous family, friends and care givers.
Her aunt, Mandy Christine Haack and
great uncle, John Charles Torkelson preceded her in death.
Interment was in the Willow Lake
Cemetery, south of Tracy. The Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy is handling the
arrangements.
