Bonnie Jacob, 63 

Bonnie Rose Jacob age 63 of Tracy passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009 at the University of Minnesota Hospital after a brief illness.  Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009 at the Tracy Lutheran Church.  

Bonnie was born March 15, 1946 in Tracy, MN to Lawrence and Bonita (Boster) Fogel.  Bonnie graduated from Westbrook High School in 1964.  While in high school, Bonnie participated in 4H and played the Clarinet in the band.  She attended Morris Vo-Tech, Granite Falls and Southwest State University to complete her education.

On June 27, 1964, Bonnie was united in marriage to Donald Jacob at the Chapel of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall.  Together the couple lived in Marshall until 1966.  They then lived in Windom for a year before moving to Tracy in November 1967.  Bonnie worked at Hi-Ho Café in Tracy.  Next she worked as a cook at the Christian Manor Nursing Home.  Then Bonnie worked for Larry Bornitz Accounting.  Finally Bonnie worked for Public Health in Marshall and later Slayton.  Bonnie was a member of the Jaycees and the Fire Department Auxiliary.  She enjoyed scrapbooking and card making, going deer hunting up north, camping, playing Bingo at This Ol’ Place and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She also loved Blue Grass Festivals and collecting bells, spoons and Elvis Memorabilia.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Don of 45 years; mother Bonita Fogel of Westbrook; children: Teresa (Jeff) Goettig of Currie, Dan (Kelly A.) Jacob of Garvin and Darren (Kelly J.) Jacob of Tracy; grandchildren: Aaron & Derick Goettig, Nathan, Brandi & Joshua Jacob, and Tim & Stephanie Jacob; great grandchildren: Sophia, Skylar, Sheldon and Tim Jr.;  and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her dad Lawrence Fogel and brother Richard Fogel.

Interment is in the Tracy City Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent via www.tracyareafuneralhome.com.  The Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

 

Robert Wendt, 74

Robert E. Wendt, age 74, of Lakeville, MN passed away on Nov. 9, 2009. Funeral services were held on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, Bloomington.  The Washburn-McReavy Werness brothers Chapel old Bloomington handled the arrangements.

Beloved husband, devoted father and proud grandfather.  Passion for golf and card playing with close friends.  Accomplished businessman and genuine friend to all.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Carol; children, Paul Wendt, Sue Ahlgren (John Spescha), Sandra Wendt and  Carly (Mike) Ogdahl; grandchildren, Angie, Samantha, Jason, Brandon, Jacob, Nicholas and Audrey; six brothers and sisters.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert and Opal and brother, Donald.
