Allen D. Prouty, 67
Allen D. Prouty, age 67 of Tracy
went home to be with the Lord, in the presence of his loving wife and children
on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at the Prairie Home Hospice House in
Marshall. Funeral services were
held Saturday, December 26, at the Victory Christian Church in Balaton.

Allen D. Prouty was born October 12,
1942 in Tracy, Minnesota to John Louis and Ruth Lorraine (Johnson) Prouty. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion
Lutheran Church in Tracy. Allen
grew up on the family farm 4 ½ miles North of Tracy. He attended school at District 36
country school, and Tracy High School. Allen was united in marriage to Sandra Phipps, and to this union 3
children were born: Michelle, Sue, and Shawn. Allen worked for AAA as a salesman, and worked various sales
jobs around the area. Later in his
life, Allen attended Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, OK. On May 31, 2003, Allen was united in
marriage to Tamara Henderson. Allen was a faithful member of Victory Christian Church in Balaton. He was a prolific journal writer, and
was very artistic; making many works of art out of various mediums. Allen enjoyed nature and the outdoors,
and the beauty of God’s creation. He loved and enjoyed his family and grandchildren. Allen loved the Lord and was a man of
great faith.
Allen is survived by his wife Tammy
Henderson-Prouty of Tracy; daughters: Michelle Prouty of Marshall and Susette
(Mark) Swedberg of Mankato; 3 stepchildren: Tonya (Charles) Keith, Joe
Tomaszewski, and Stacy (Cory) St. Pierre; 5 grandchildren: Nichole, Alisha,
Kelli Jo, Lyndsey, and Taylor; 10 stepgrandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren:
Hailey, McKenzie, Cooper, Ethan Allen, Leigha, Khole, and Kaden. He is also survived by his siblings:
Joanne (Wayne) Carter of Currie, twin brother Arthur Prouty of Apple Valley,
sister Lezlee Prouty of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law Kay Prouty of Redwood
Falls; brother-in-law Charles Peltola of Currie; and many nieces; nephews;
other relatives; and friends.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; son Shawn; grandson Jeremiah Trei; brother James Prouty; sister
Patricia Peltola; and son-in-law Jon Trei.
Clinton Shaw, 84
Clinton Leroy Shaw age 84 of Tracy
passed away on Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in
Wabasso. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30,
2009 at St Mary’s Catholic Church
in Tracy. Visitation will be held at noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at
the church in Tracy with a 12:00 p.m. CCW and Knights of Columbus Rosary
service. Interment is in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy. Email

Clinton Leroy Shaw was born November
16, 1925 in Holly Township, Murray County, MN near Dovray to Roy and Hazel
(Severson) Shaw. He was baptized in the Catholic faith and made his first
communion and confirmation at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy. Clinton
attended country school in Holly Township. As a young man, he worked as a
farm laborer for 10 years from 1940-1950.
On July 10, 1947, Clinton was united
in marriage to Augusta Verstraete at St. Mary’s parsonage in Tracy. In
1951, Clinton worked as a wholesale and retail distributor for Springfield and
Oak Grove Dairies until 1964. He also drove school bus and worked on the
railroad part time. In 1967, he began employment as Fertilizer plant
manager for Standard Oil in Revere, MN, and in 1968 was transferred to the
Tracy plant where he worked until 1978 when he retired due to health
problems. He also worked as an Electrolux Vacuum salesman for 40
years.
Clinton played baseball for the
Tracy Engineers and also managed the team for a couple years.
Clinton was a member of the Tracy Lions Club, the Plum Creek Saddle
Club and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed bowling, dancing, watching
the Twins, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved
working with his horses and watching his children and grandchildren’s
activities. He had a smile that could light up the room, and was well
liked by all who knew him.
Clinton is survived by his children:
Ronald (Cheryl) Shaw of St. Paul, Bruce Shaw of Shakopee, and Cindy (Tom)
Rignell of Tracy; grandchildren: Wade, Derek and Taylor Rignell and Kevin and
Kimberly Shaw; great grandson Rocco; four brothers: Curtis (Dolores) Shaw of
Garvin, Kenneth (Donna) Shaw of Tracy, Robert (Lois) Shaw of Gilbert, AZ, and
Lee Shaw of Marshall; sister Linda Shaw of Tracy; and many other relatives and
friends.
He is preceded in death by his
parents, loving wife Augusta, two brothers and three sisters.
