Emily Coulter, 28

Emily Coulter age 28 of Tracy, MN died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at the Avera-McKennan Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.  Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Tracy High School Gymnasium.  Visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. and continuing one hour prior to the service at the school on Saturday.  Interment will be Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Rock Valley Lutheran Cemetery north of Echo, MN. 

Emily Marie Coulter was born September 1, 1980 to John W. and Muriel C. (Odden) Coulter in Tracy, MN, Lyon County.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Tracy Lutheran Church and attended Tracy Public Schools.

Over the years Emily worked at several area businesses through the ECCO and DAC programs.  Emily was a member of the Tracy Lutheran Church and enjoyed attending S.O.S. Camp each year at Shetek Lutheran Bible Camp on Lake Shetek.  She also was active in Special Olympics, competing in swimming, bowling and track and field. 

Emily enjoyed taking part in dance lessons and recitals and loved watching her siblings participate in high school sports.  She also liked crafts, attending Country Western concerts, going to the movies, singing and watching the Disney Channel.  In recent years her favorite pastime was planning her wedding, which she worked on every day.  She loved animals and traveling with her dogs and her family all over the United States.  She loved all kinds of food and drink, but Diet Coke was her favorite.  All who knew Emily will miss her smile and willingness to share a big hug with everyone she met.

On Sunday, March 1, 2009 Emily flew to heaven, surrounded by her loving family, at the Avera-McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD at the young age of just 28.

Emily is survived by her parents, John and Muriel Coulter of Tracy, MN; one brother, Andy Coulter of Tracy, MN; two sisters, Jackie Coulter of Mankato, MN and Jessica Coulter of Mitchell, SD; an aunt and uncle, Jean and Steve Vogel of Eagen, MN; four cousins, Joe (Molly) Vogel, Nick (Rachel) Vogel, Tom (Tina) Vogel and Dan Vogel; many more extended family and a great many friends.

Her maternal grandparents, Alfred and Luella Odden and her paternal grandparents, Delmer and Bernice Coulter preceded her in death.

The family asks that memorials be given to a scholarship fund that has been set up at Minnwest Bank South in Tracy for a student majoring in Special Education.

Donald J. Roby, 74

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2009 for Donald J. Roby, age 74, of Tracy. Donald passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 in Balaton, MN.  

Donald Jacob Roby was born September 26, 1934 on the family farm south of Walnut Grove, MN to Rudolph & Bernice (Nelson) Roby.  He was baptized in the Lutheran faith on October 26, 1935, and was confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, MN.  He attended country school through the 8^th grade near Cottonwood, he then attended Cottonwood High School and later Morris Ag School. 

Donald was united in marriage to Bonita Christenson on December 30, 1954.  Together the couple farmed south of Cottonwood.  In 1970 he moved to Tracy where he drove school bus.  He also delivered fuel oil for Tracy Co-op and hauled mail from Tracy to Blue Earth. 

On December 12, 1986, Donald was united in marriage to Julienne Wilson.  Together they lived in Tracy and south of Garvin.  Donald then drove truck for Rupp Construction, Kane Transport, and Schmitz Grain Co. before his retirement.  Donald loved visiting with friends & family and especially spending time with his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed restoring old tractors and going to tractor pulls.

Donald is survived by his wife Julienne; children: Jesse (Deb Enderson) Roby of Tracy, David Roby of Tracy, Ronald (Barb) Roby of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Doranne Roby of Balaton, Christa (Shawn) Peterson of Russell, and Craig Wilson from Russell; special daughter in law Julie Roby; grandchildren: Robert Roby, Kristen Brooks, Linda Roby, Kari Valles, Jennifer Roby, Jacob & Sara Peterson and Darren Thovson; great grandchildren: Cody & Tyler Roby; brother Jerome (Jeanette) Roby of Apple Valley; aunt Hazel Takle of Walnut Grove; best friend Mr. Fletcher; and numerous other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Darold, and grandsons: Eric Roby, Matthew Roby, Andrew Peterson, and Jeremy Thovson.
