Robert O’Donnell, 77
Robert “Bob” O’Donnell, age 77 of
Walnut Grove, formerly of Belle Fourche, SD, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010
at the Sanford Tracy Medical Center in Tracy. Memorial services were held
Friday, March 5 at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home. Interment will be at a
later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Online

Walnut Grove Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Robert “Bob” O’Donnell was born
October 14, 1932 in Belle Fourche, SD, to Walter and Margaret (Curtis)
O’Donnell. He graduated from Belle Fourche High School and went on to
attend college at the University of Wyoming and SDSC. Bob served in the
US Marine Corps from October 25, 1950 until May 3, 1953. Bob was united
in marriage to Charleen Cazett on May 19, 1984. While in Belle Fourche,
Bob operated O’Donnell Sheep & Wool Company. Later, Bob moved to
Tracy, MN and bought sheep and lambs for John Morrell Company. Bob served
as the mayor of Walnut Grove and as Commander of the Walnut Grove American
Legion. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, hunting, fishing, and
trapshooting. Bob was the king of “BS-ing” and enjoyed “BS-ing” with his
family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife Charleen
of Walnut Grove; daughters: Margi (Kevin) Culhane of Yankton, SD, and Kris
(James) Edmonson of Louisburg, NC; stepchildren: Julie (Brad) Nelson of Walnut
Grove, Daniel Gilb of Baldwin City, KS, and Randal Gilb of Hastings, MN;
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister Mary Ellen Warren of
Belle Fourche, SD; and many other relatives and friends.
