Martha Klein, 89

Funeral service for Martha Klein, 89, of Milroy, will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Ashford Presbyterian Church in Milroy.  Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Rehkamp – Horvath Funeral Home in Marshall and Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will follow the service at the Milroy Community Cemetery in Milroy.

Martha Anna (Pixler) Klein was born on April 14, 1920, in Grandview Township to Francis M. and Lillie (Moore) Pixler.  She lived on a farm in Amiret until she was in the third grade when she moved with her family to a farm near Walnut Grove.  She graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1938.  In 1940, she moved with her parents to Milroy. 

On July 4, 1942, she married Howard M. Klein.  The couple farmed near Milroy.  Martha was a member of the Ashford Presbyterian Church.

She died on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall. 

Martha is survived by three sons; Denzil (and Rebecca) of Phoenix, Darcey (and Sharon) of Milroy, Michael (and Bridget) of Eden Valley, nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sister Frances Maxine Nehring of Garden Grove, CA, sisters-in-law Pearl Eatros of Arizona and Hazel Janssen of Wisconsin. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
