Robert Hahn, 58
Services for Robert Hahn were held
today, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy.
Robert Allen Hahn was born September
16, 1951 to George and Suzanne (Lauwers) Hahn in St. Paul, MN, Ramsey
County. He was baptized in St.
Paul’s Cathedral in St. Paul and confirmed in the Catholic faith. His family moved to a farm in the
Walnut Grove, MN area and Bob attended Walnut Grove High School, graduating in
1969. Soon after his graduation,
Bob and several friends enlisted in the U.S. Army and he served in Vietnam for
two years. While stationed there
he water skied in the South China Sea. He returned to the states in 1971 and served in the Reserves until 1976
and then in the National Guard from 1976 to 1982.
On July 14, 1973 Bob married Cheryl
Schaeppi in St. Paul’s Cathedral and they made their home in Tracy and
Marshall, MN. Bob worked for
Exxon’s Twine Factory in Tracy from 1974 to 1977 before going to work for PPG
in Marshall in 1979 until 1989, when the plant closed. During this time he drove truck
part-time for Floyd Wild Trucking of Marshall. In 1991 he began working for McLaughlin & Schultz of
Marshall, until 1995 when he began driving truck for A&A Express of
Brandon, SD. He retired in 2004
and remained in Tracy until April of 2010 when he became a resident of the
Murray County Hospice House in Slayton, MN.
Bob was a member of the St. Mary’s
Catholic Church in Tracy and the American Legion. He enjoyed collecting antique toy cars and trucks, car
modeling, water skiing, fishing, snowmobiling, attending sales and auctions,
trucking and singing karoke.
On Thursday, May 13, 2010 Bob died
at the Hospice House in Slayton, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of
58.
Bob is survived by his two
daughters, Melissa Hahn of Shakopee, MN and Jackelyn (John Holbrook) Hahn of
Marshall, MN; parents, George and Suzanne Hahn of Currie, MN; two brothers,
Donald Hahn of Currie, MN and Thomas (Brenda Stynski) Hahn of Marshall, MN; one
sister, Julie Hahn of Sioux Falls, SD; aunt Yvonne (Marvin) Christenson of
Cottonwood, MN; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
His grandparents, sister-in-law,
Peggy Hahn and uncle, Joe Derynck preceded him in death.
The interment was in the Calvary
Cemetery in Tracy. The Almlie
Funeral Home of Tracy handled the arrangements.

MaryAnn Hannig, 79
Mass of Christian Burial will be
held on Thurs., May 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. for MaryAnn E. Hannig. Service will be held at Church of St.
Peter, 2600 Margaret Street, North St. Paul with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until
the Mass. MaryAnn passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 12,
2010.
She is survived by children Ron
(Lynn), Dan (Vera), Geri Peterson, John (Nancy), Steve (Julie), Mike
(Lizlynne), Barb Karel, Susan and Cathy Walker; 16 grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; sister Sr. Donata Daml; brother Bill Daml (Helen) and many
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her
husband Don; parents Peter and Helen Daml; brother Ed and sister Ruby Cimaglia.
Private interment will be held at
Fort Snelling National Cemetery. The Sandberg Family Funeral and Cremation Service handled the
arrangements.
