Ann Grefe, 46

Ann Grefe, age 46, of Rosemount passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at The Lodge on Natchez Hospice facility in Elko.  Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove with Pastors Tim Holt and John Matthews officiating.    Interment was in Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service - Walnut Grove Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. 

Ann Margaret Grefe was born March 30, 1965 in Tracy, MN to Ray and Joan (Grams) Grefe.  She was baptized and confirmed at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.  Ann graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1983.  In the summers she enjoyed helping her father with veterinary work.  After graduation she attended St. Olaf College in Northfield and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and graduated with an education major.  She taught in several different school districts, most recently doing substitute teaching for the Rosemount School District.  Ann’s most constant companion for 14 years was her dog Frankie.  Her love of music came from her mom who was a church organist for many years.  She liked to sing in the church choir and play her flute for special church services, as well as play piano at home for her own enjoyment.  Ann was very happy being “Auntie Annie” to Bill, Katie and Peter, and remembered them with special gifts on holidays and their birthdays.

Ann is survived by her father Ray Grefe; brothers Tim and Scott; sisters-in-law Marilyn and Lorie; nephews and niece Bill, Katie, and Peter; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

She is preceded in death by her mother Joan in 1993, and maternal and paternal grandparents. 

 

Lloyd Imker, 92

Lloyd Howard Imker, 92, of Lamberton, MN died  on Monday, July  4, 2011 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, MN.  Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton on Friday, July  8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.  Pastor Theodora K. Hall officiated.  Interment was at the Lamberton Cemetery. Arrangements were with the  Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton, MN. E-mail condolences may be sent to the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Lloyd Imker was born on May 2, 1919 in Redfield, SD, the son of Otto and Ruth (Fulkerson) Imker.  He attended country school in Spink County, SD before moving to a farm south of Lamberton and graduated from Lamberton High School in 1937.  Lloyd was united in marriage to Marjorie Hullopeter on October 15, 1942 at the United Methodist Church in Tracy, MN.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton and served on several mission trips.  Lloyd enjoyed fishing, watching the Minnesota Twins, bowling, traveling square dancing, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife - Marjorie Imker of Lamberton; children - Robert Imker of Shakopee, MN, Jay (Linda) Imker of Lamberton, and Leanne (David) Homoky of Griffth, IN; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and brothers - Floyd (Marjorie) Imker of Lamberton, Lester (Norma) Imker of Tracy, MN, and Dwight (Alice) Imker of Chanhassen, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; son - Ronald Imker in infancy; a grandson - Benjamin Imker; a daughter-in-law - Joanne Imker; a sister - Lucille Coulter; and brothers - Lyle and Richard Imker.

 

Lorraine Kreucher, 82

Lorraine Isabel Kreucher passed away Saturday, June 25 2011, at the age of 82, surrounded by loving family.  Lorraine was born August 9, 1928, the youngest of 8 girls.  She is preceeded in death by her mother and father, George and Justina Kreucher, sisters; Regina Hilgesen, Isabel Bibby and Beatrice Stefanick. 

She is survived by sisters; Rosalia (Harold) Baskin, Florence Cecere, Helen (David) Jones and twin sister Elaine (John) Gorshe, and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.  Lorraine’s Mass of Christian Burial was on Wednesday, June 29 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka, Minnesota.  Interment was  Saturday, July 2, at  Calvary Cemetery, Tracy, Minnesota.
