Nicholas “Nick” Hanson, 27
Mass of Christian Burial was
held for Nicholas “Nick” Hanson at IHM Catholic Church in Currie, MN on
Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Jeffrey Dobbs officiating. The organist was Patty LeClaire. The song leader was LoAnn Hansen. The pallbearers were Brandon Hanson,
Jesse Hanson, Jason Hanson, Joshua Hanson, Austin Scarset, Alex Scarset, Dustin
Knapper and TJ Messenbrink. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery, Currie, MN.
Nicholas Hanson was born on
October 21, 1983 in Slayton, Minnesota to Gary and Julie (Hansen) Hanson. He grew up in Currie, MN and was
baptized and confirmed at IHM Catholic Church in Currie. He graduated from Tracy Area High
School in 2002. Nick attended St. Paul Technical School and St. Cloud State
University. He worked various jobs
while living at home with his parents.
Nick passed away at his home
on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the age of 27. He was a member of IHM Catholic Church in Currie. Nick loved sports, football and
especially baseball. He was a
Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins fan. Nick enjoyed music and knew almost any sport stat or trivia
from music and movies.
Survivors include his parents,
Gary and Julie Hanson of Currie, MN; two sisters, Bryanna Hanson of St. Peter,
MN and Brittany Hanson of Currie, MN; niece, Maya; paternal grandparents, Floyd
(Marian) Hanson of Currie, MN; maternal grandparents, Richard (Marilyn) Hansen
of Currie, MN; maternal great-grandfather, Leo Hansen of Tracy, MN; uncles,
aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his
uncle, Bruce Hanson.

Edith Lessman, 87
Edith A. Lessman age 87 of
Tracy, MN died Monday, July 25, 2011 at the Southridge Health Care Center in
Sioux Falls, SD. Services will be
a gathering of friends and family at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy at 3:00
p.m., on Fri., July 29, 2011 followed by a graveside service at the Gales
Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. All are then
invited to the Red Rooster’s back dining room for a luncheon at 5:00 p.m. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy is
handling the arrangements.

Edith Adell Lessman was born
October 5, 1923 to John and Josie (Knott) Lessman on the family farm near
Tracy, MN, in Amiret Township, Lyon County. She attended country school and later Tracy Public Schools.
At the age of 21 Edith moved
to Seattle, WA and began working for Boeing, as a riveter, to support the war
effort. She then went to work for
Pacific NW Bell Telephone Company for over 30 years, as a secretary. After her retirement, she worked part
time as a receptionist for the Kenney Home Care Facility. Edith then moved back to Tracy in June
of 1998.
She enjoyed traveling, having
been to most of the United States and Europe, walking and visiting with people
around town. As her health failed
she became a resident of the O’Brien Court Apartments in Tracy for a short time
before moving into the Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Balaton, MN.
On Monday, July 25, 2011 Edith
died at the Southridge Health Care Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 87.
Edith
is survived by her two brothers, Richard Lessman of Prescott Valley, AZ and
William Lessman of LaPorte, MN; one sister, Louella Lof of Park Rapids, MN;
many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her parents, one infant sister
and four brothers, James, Henry, Frank and Warner, preceded her in death.
Myron “Mike” Tofting, 82
Myron “Mike” Tofting age 82 of
Tracy passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Prairie Home Hospice in
Marshall. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011
at Tracy Lutheran Church. Interment was in Luther Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to
Luther Cemetery Fund or Prairie Home Hospice in lieu of flowers. Online

Myron was born January 6, 1929
in Tracy, MN to Melvin and Grace (Olson) Tofting. He was baptized at
Luther Church in 1929, and was confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in
1944. Mike attended country school district 62, and Walnut Grove High
School. Mike served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from
January 1951 to November 1953. He was stationed at Camp Rucker, AL and
Ft. Sam Houston, TX. After his honorable discharge, Mike returned to the
Tracy area where he farmed with his brother northeast of Tracy for 40
years. Mike was a member of Tracy Lutheran Church, the Tracy American
Legion Earl Ray Post 173, and the Tracy Eagles Club. He enjoyed playing
cards, taking annual trips to Las Vegas playing Texas Hold ‘Em. Mike had
a good sense of humor, and was a great story teller.
Mike is survived by his sister
Bernita (Allen) Bengtson of Surprise AZ; nephews: Bradley (Lynne) Bengtson of
Anthem, AZ and their children Brendan and Emily, and Craig (Beth) Bengtson of
Phoenix, AZ; and several aunts and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his
parents, brother James and an infant brother.
