MaryEllen Lee, 92
MaryEllen (Fawcett) Lee age 92
of Watertown, formerly of Tracy and Minneapolis passed away on Saturday,
November 19, 2011 with her family by her side. Graduate of the University of Minnesota, MaryEllen’s passion was education and
taught science for many years. Preceded in death by husband Norman; son Thomas; grandchildren Zachary,
Michael, Sara, and Charles.
Survived by children Martha
(Jim) Loften, Sara Wessling, Jennifer Lee, Andrew; 13 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held
at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,
Watertown, MN. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Mound, MN. Iten’s Watertown Funeral
Home handled the arrangements.
Lorraine Leonard, 85
Funeral Mass for Lorraine Ruth
Leonard age 85 of Waite Park, MN will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at
10:00 a.m. at the Assumption Catholic Church in Morris, Minnesota. Father
Robert Kieffer will be officiating. Visitation will be on Friday at the
Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris from 5 to 8 p.m. with prayer service and parish
rosary at 7:00 p.m. and for one hour prior to Mass on Saturday. Burial
will be at Calvary Cemetery in Morris.
Lorraine Ruth Menk, daughter
of Elmer and Irene (Orre) Menk was born on September 23, 1926 in Slayton,
Minnesota. She attended elementary school in Currie, Minnesota and High
School in Tracy, Minnesota. Lorraine was united in marriage to Thomas
Leonard on November 4, 1946 in Currie, MN. The couple farmed in the
Currie area until 1966, when they moved to the Glenwood/Farwell area. In
1986, Lorraine and Thomas moved to Morris. Lorraine spent many years
working at the Ken Anderson and Prairie View Nurseries in Farwell and
Morris. Lorraine has spent the last three years at Sterling Park assisted
Living & Heath Care Center in Waite Park, MN until her death on Sunday,
November 20, 2011. Lorraine passed away with her family by her side at
Sterling Park Heath Care Center in Waite Park, MN.
Lorraine enjoyed working with
flowers and plants, playing board games, cards, bingo and doing craft
projects. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and most of all she loved
spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Assumption
Catholic Church in Morris, the Catholic Daughters, American Legion Auxiliary
and Homemakers Club in Morris.
She is survived by six sons
and seven daughters-in-law, Charles (Nancy), Kimball; Gerald (Mary), Slayton; William (Loretta),
Morris; Lynda Leonard, South Haven; Jerome (Lori) Kimball; Paul (Barbara), Cyrus;
and Timothy (Amy), Young America; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan (Craig)
Tvrdik, Alexandria and Carol (Darwin) Whaley, St. Michael; one sister, Eleanor
(Gene) Dold, Currie; one brother, David (Darlene) Menk, Benson; 29
grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Harold; her parents;
one great-granddaughter, Angelica; one sister, Esther and one brother, Richard.
Serving as
pallbearers for the service are all of Lorraine’s Grandchildren. Pedersen Funeral Home
in Morris is in charge of funeral arrangements.
