Bonita E. Fogel age 90 of
Westbrook passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Colonial Manor in
Balaton. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at
Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Visitation is 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday
at the Tracy Area Funeral Home. Interment is in Westbrook Cemetery.

Bonita E. Fogel was born July
22, 1922 in Sioux City, Iowa to John Henry and Judith (Forsling)
Cleveland. She was adopted by Luther and Lalla Boster.
On April 10, 1941 she was
united in marriage to Lawrence J. Fogel. Bonita lived on and assisted on a farm
near Westbrook. Bonita worked at the café in Westbrook. She also
managed the Storden VFW and an apartment building in Westbrook with her
husband. They moved to Storden after retiring from the farm, and later
moved to Westbrook. Her son passed away in February 2004, Lawrence in
August 2004, and her daughter in November 2009.
Bonita entered assisting
living in Walnut Grove in 2010 and then moved to Colonial Manor on August 23,
2010. Bonita was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Westbrook
VFW. She was very active in the community including assisting with
Hospital Days in Westbrook. Bonita loved cooking and feeding people, and
hosting relatives & friends. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making
doilies, traveling, and spending time with family.
Bonita is survived by her
son-in-law Don Jacob of Tracy; grandchildren: Teresa (Jeff) Goettig of Currie
and Darren (Kelly) Jacob of Tracy; granddaughter-in-law Kelly Jacob of Garvin;
great grandchildren: Aaron and Derick Goettig, Tim, Nathan, Brandi, Stephanie,
and Joshua Jacob. She is also survived by great great grandchildren:
Sopia Rose, Sheldon, Tim Jr., Landon, Skylar, Marlee Rose, and Chace; sisters:
Donna Belle Clary of Iowa, Violet Meyer of Oregon, and Beverly Quiggle of
Minnesota; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by
her parents, husband Lawrence, son Richard Fogel, daughter Bonnie Rose Jacob, 5
brothers, 2 sisters, and several other family members that she loved.
