Delores Loraine Dieken,
87
Delores Loraine Dieken 87, of
Greeley, passed away May 12,2013 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center in Greeley,
Colorado.
She was born to William and
Agnes Alf on April 3, 1926 in Tracy MN. She graduated from Tracy High School in
1944. She worked as a bookkeeper at the Farmers and Merchants State Bank in
Tracy, MN prior to her marriage to Lawrence H. Dieken on May 20, 1953. They
moved to Colorado Springs and later to Buena Vista and eventually to Greeley,
CO.
Delores loved children and
daycare was her career for most of her life. She loved being with her
grandchildren. Flowers and gardening were her passion and she definitely had a
green thumb. She also liked to crochet, sew and read.
Delores is survived by her
four children, James (Beverly) Dieken, Nancy Dieken, Katherine (Lonnie) Warren,
and Lisa (Michael) Rothe all of Greeley. Grandchildren, Todd Dieken,
Christopher (Jessica) Dieken, Brittany Warren, Brady Warren, Blake Rothe, Aiden
Rothe and Teddy Rothe. Sisters, Betty (Delbert) Kolbe, Florence Smith, Sandra
(Steve) Myers and her brother, Jack (Shirley) Alf and sister-in-law, Betty Alf.
She was preceded in death by
her husband, Lawrence Dieken, her parents, William and Agnes Alf, her brothers,
Leonard Alf and Dale Alf and her brother-in-law, Charles Smith and
sister-in-law, Naomi Alf.
A memorial service was held on
Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Greeley Wesleyan Church, 3600 W. 22nd Street.
Rodney Nackerud, 86
Rodney
“Peter” Nackerud age 86 of Walnut Grove passed away Monday, May 20, 2013 at
Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center in Westbrook, MN. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m.
Friday, May 24 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, rural Walnut Grove. Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday
at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services
at the church on Friday. Burial is
in the church cemetery. Online

Rodney
“Peter” Nackerud was born March 3, 1927 in Tracy, MN to Andrew and Julia
(Olson) Nackerud. He was baptized
and confirmed at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Rodney attended Bakken country school and graduated from
Walnut Grove High School in 1945. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Navy and was stationed in
Shanghai, China. In 1947, Rodney
came back to spend his life farming and raising cattle. He farmed until he was 70 years
old. On January 12,
1980 he married Anna Belle Haensel in Tracy, Minnesota. Even though he battled polio, Rodney
didn’t let it hold him back. He
continued farming, riding snowmobile and motorcycle, and he enjoyed
hunting. Rodney was a member of
the VFW and American Legion for 68 years.
Rodney
is survived by his wife Anna; step children Robin Groess of Walnut Grove and
Robert Groess of Effie; nieces and nephew: Nancy (Dave) Herder of Walnut Grove,
Kay (Mark) Koblegard of Walnut Grove, Al (Linda) Bakken of Belgrade, MT, and
many other nieces and nephews; numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great
nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents,
brothers Leif, Alf, Harry, Franz, and Rolf Nackerud, sister Margie Bakken, and
great nephew Derek Bakken.
Marcia Rowell, 96
Marcia Rowell age 96 of Tracy,
MN died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the Sanford-Tracy Area Medical Center. Services will be 10:00 AM Saturday,
June 15, 2013 at the Tracy United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Friday, June 14,
2013 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy. Interment will be in the Tracy City Cemetery. The Almlie Funeral Homes of Tracy is handling the
arrangements.

Marcia Edna Rowell was born
March 8, 1917 to Walter and Ruby (Erion) Clark in Sherwood, ND. She was baptized and confirmed in the
Christian faith and attended Sherwood Public Schools. As a young woman she moved with her sister to southwestern
Minnesota.
On March 12, 1938 Marcia
married Mark Rowell in Brookings, SD and they made their home in Amiret,
MN. In 1984 they moved into Tracy,
MN and she remained in her home until 2005, when she moved to O’Brien
Court. In December 2012 she became
a resident of the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy.
She was a housewife and mother
who enjoyed quilting, embroidery, gardening, playing cards, bowling, Scrabble,
Crosswords Puzzles, and keeping a daily journal, but what she really loved was
spending time with her family. Marcia attended Tracy Methodist Church and in the past was active in the
church women’s groups. She was
also a member of the Tracy Hospital Auxiliary and served many over the years in
the hospital snack bar.
On Thursday, May 16, 2013
Marcia died, surrounded by her loving family, at Sanford-Tracy Area Medical
Center at the age of 96.
Marcia is survived by her one
daughter, Barbara Knudson of Tracy, MN; four granddaughters, Dawn (Tom) Bahn of
Cottonwood, MN, Norma Knudson (Randy Logelin) of Waconia, MN, Laura (Lance)
Kosen of Cottonwood, MN and Linda (Rick) Pesch of Taunton, MN; six great
grandchildren, Chris and Jeremy Bahn, Shane and Nicholas Kosen, and Tess and
Kiefer Servin; one sister, Verna Garber of Cando, ND; one brother, Robert
(Laverne) Clark of Hoyt Lakes, MN; nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband, Mark, parents,
three sisters and their husbands, Clarice (Lawrence) Reed, Dorothy (Leonard)
Hauptli, and Hazel (Percy) Newhouse, one brother and his wife, Walter (Signie)
Clark, and one brother-in-law, William Garber preceded her in death.
