Gary Dibble, 67

 

Gary Norman Dibble age 67 of Browns Valley, CA, passed away on October 30, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 18, 2013 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray, MN.  Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service - Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements

Gareld “Gary” Norman Dibble was born in Tracy, MN.  He has been a resident of the Yuba –Sutter, California area for 40+ years. Gary is an Air Force Veteran, serving the Vietnam war.  He had been stationed at Beale AFB in CA and stayed in the area when he was discharged.  Gary started a crop dusting business after being discharged.  He flew for many years and was also a flight instructor for a time.  He loved to hunt as well.  But deep in his heart he was always a farm boy from Minnesota and he loved to grow things.  He grew 20 acres of wine grapes on his property, but loved his garden most of all.  Many neighbors, friends and employees were recipients of his garden bounty.  His tomatoes were the most famous.

He is survived by his wonderful and loving wife, Jennifer Barrett of Browns Valley; his amazing daughter, Anna Dibble of Browns Valley; his step-daughter, Marie Aragon; his step-son, Tom Moll; two grandchildren, Scarlett and Diego; his siblings: Jane Hanson (Robert), Karen Nyren (Colin), Marie Flaten, Chuck Dibble and Roger Dibble: also many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Elsie Dibble of MN.

 

Roland "Rollie" Johnson, 94

 

Rollie Johnson age 94 of Tracy passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy.  Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 23 at the Tracy Church of Christ.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.  A private family interment will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service - Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Rollie was born December 15, 1918 on the family farm in Murray County to Harry and Effie (Anderson) Johnson.  He attended country school, and worked on the family farm until 1978 when he sold the farm and moved to Tracy.  On February 14, 1981, Rollie was united in marriage to Glenda Alberda in Tracy.  Rollie worked for several area farmers, and also mowed lawns and did snow removal.  Rollie was a member of the Tracy Lions Club, where he was presented the Lion of the Year Award, and the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.  He was an avid bowler, and roller skater.  He also enjoyed gardening, riding his bicycle, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Rollie is survived by his wife Glenda of 32 years; daughter Angela Alberda (Hugh Gower) of Mankato; son Chad Alberda (Erica) of Hamilton, MT; grandchildren: Ariel, Jayde, Bailey, Cade, Quinn, Kelsey, Angel & Isaac; great granddaughter Jane; sister Rose Wright of Albuquerque, NM; constant companion Gus; and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Eleanor Johnson and brother Donald Johnson.
