Ida A. Carlson age 102 of
Westbrook, MN died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan
Center. Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at
the Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray, MN. Interment was in the Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery in
Dovray. The Almlie Funeral Home of
Westbrook handled the arrangements.

Ida Aldora Carlson was born
July 10, 1910 to Ole and Mary (Johnson) Norstegard on a farm in Dovray
Township, Murray County, MN. She
was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Our Savior’s Lutheran
Church in Dovray, MN, where she has been a member her whole life and she
attended country school.
On December 8, 1927 Ida
married Earl Carlson and they made their home on a farm near Dovray. Together they owned and operated the
Dovray Creamery for many years. After
retirement, they enjoyed traveling, and wintering in Arizona and Texas. In 1991 they moved into the Westbrook
Apartments in Westbrook, MN. After
her husband’s death that same year, Ida remained in the apartment until 2006,
when she moved into the Country View Estates in Walnut Grove, MN.
Besides being a life-long
member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, she was active in WELCA, Martha Bible
Study and enjoyed quilting, both with the church women and for her family, for
many years. She was a woman of
strong faith and continued her daily devotionals throughout her life.
In October of 2011 Ida became
a resident of the Westbrook Good Samaritan Center, where she died, Wednesday,
January 23, 2013 at the age of 102.
Ida’s family was very special
to her and she is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Phyllis Vosberg of
Tracy, MN; son, Orville “Bud” (Londa) Carlson of Redwood Falls, MN; eight
grandchildren, Connie (Terry) Post, Tom (Maru) Vosberg, Nancy (Gary) Revier,
Carma (Bob) Ochu, Terri Carlson, Wendy Scott Dieter, Jill (Ben) Muzechenko, and
Erik (Jill) Johnson; fourteen great grandchildren, Aileenn (Mike) DaLTON, Frank
(Reyanna) Vosberg, Erik and Brian Post, Jeremiah Dagel, Jodi (Dan) Blackburn,
Abby (Eric) Sahnow, Sarah (Matt) Haggerty, Emily (Alex) Baxley, Matthew
(Shelly) Muzechenko, Jordan Muzechenko, Hattie, Hadyn, and Leif Johnson; eight
great-great grandchildren, Alexa, Mikala, and Selena Dalton, Madison, Thorton,
Lily, and Ruby Muzechenko, and Jaycob Vosberg; nieces, nephews and friends.
Her husband, Earl, her
parents, daughter, Mary Jane Johnson, son-in-law, Jay Vosberg, great grandson,
Marshall Muzechenko, one sister, Ruth Cohrs, two brothers, Julius and Oscar,
and several nieces and nephews preceded her in death.
Ruth Guimond Carroll, 61,
passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 at her home in Fountain, Florida. Internment
was held in Fountain, Florida.
Ruth was born in Tracy,
Minnesota, the daughter of Leo and Elsie (Buzzell) Guimond. She is survived by
her husband, Ewell Carroll, daughter, Angie (Mark) Martinez, son, Wendell Paul
Roberts, grandson, James Eddy, great grandson Jacob Eddy, as well as brothers,
Joe (Gaylene), France (Esther), Denny (Ruth), David (Barb), Jim, and sister
Mary (Joel) Olson; brothers-in-law Lewis Carroll, Robert Carroll as well as
many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by
parents Leo and Elsie Guimond, father-in-law, James Carroll, mother-in-law
Helen Carroll as well as sister-in-law Marlene Carroll and Morene (Haney)
Guimond.
Mass of Christian Burial for
Margaret G. (Pilotte) Friend, age 96, of Marshall were held at 10:00 a.m.
Monday, January 28, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Marshall. Interment followed the service at
Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Margaret was born May 11, 1916
to Joseph and Laura (Paradis) Pilotte in Brooten, MN. She married Jack Wyffels in November of 1938. To this
union, son Joseph was born. Jack died in March of 1945. She later married
Donald Friend on June 9, 1946 in Walnut Grove, MN at St. Paul’s Catholic
Church. The couple worked hard together for 25 years managing Friends Sportsman’s
Bar and Grill in Walnut Grove. They were blessed with three children. Margaret was dedicated to her faith and
spirituality. She blessed Holy Redeemer with many hours of service with the CCW
and the Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed going out for coffee with her lady’s
group, playing cards and visiting with friends. The people she enjoyed spending
the most time with were her grandchildren; who will remember Grandma for
teaching them to speak and count in French. She loved being with them and watching them grow up.
Margaret had a passion for flowers and loved being outdoors.
Margaret died January 22, 2013
at Saunder’s Medical Center LTC in Wahoo, NE; where she lived 5 months to be
near her daughter, Barb.
Margaret will be missed by her
children, Joseph (Donna) Friend of Billings, MT, Marilyn (Jerry) Morhain of
Sedalia, MO, and Barb (Keith) Rupp of Lincoln, NE; grandchildren, Cyndi (Doug)
Kay of Boise, ID, Michelle Friend of Angle Inlet, MN, Charlie (Joy) Friend of
Billing, MT, Mike (Angela) Anderson of Hesston, KS, Dean (Stephanie) Anderson
of Littleton, CO, Angela (John) Carns of Henderson, NV, Jennifer (Greg) Nitzel
of Mattawan, MI, Joseph Rupp of Lincoln, NE; 13 great-grandchildren; 2
great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
her first husband, Jack Wyffels; second husband, Donald Friend; parents, Joseph
and Laura Pilotte; sister, Vivienne Pagel; grandson, Brian Friend.

Renae G. Hammerstrom age 62 of
Minneota, MN died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Hospice House in Marshall,
MN. Services were held at 10:30 AM
Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Lynd, MN. Interment was in the Arlington
Cemetery in Arlington, SD. The Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy, MN is handled the
arrangements.

Jessie J. Mercie age 27 of
Vesta, MN died Sunday, January 27, 2013 at the Sanford-Tracy Area Medical
Center in Tracy, MN. Services will
be 10:30 AM Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the Tracy Alliance Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00
PM Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Almlie Funeral Home in Tracy, with a
prayer service at 7:00 PM and continuing one hour prior to the service at the
church on Thursday. A luncheon
will be served in the church social hall immediately following the
service. Interment will be at a
later date. The Almlie Funeral
Home of Tracy is handling the arrangements.

Alice M. Trulock age 94 of
Tracy, MN died Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Prairie View Healthcare Center
in Tracy. Services were held at
10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the Zion Lutheran Church in
Tracy. Interment will be held in
the Hendricks Cemetery in Hendricks, MN. The Almlie Funeral Home of Tracy handled the arrangements.

Alice Mary Trulock was born
September 19, 1918 to Henry and Helen (Binnebose) Lang on a farm in Pipestone
County, MN. She was baptized in
November of 1918 in Pipestone and later confirmed in 1930 at the German
Lutheran Church in Hendricks, MN. She also attended country school near Hendricks.
Alice married Ralph Trulock
and they had four sons. She made her home in the Lake Benton area where
she raised her children. She worked for many years in the restaurant
business and owned and operated the “Log Cabin” restaurant in Tyler.
In 1974 she moved to Tracy, MN, and was employed by the Tracy Nursing Home as a
dietary aid, until her retirement in 1993.
She was a current member of
the Zion Lutheran Church in Tracy, where she had been active in the church
women’s groups over the years. She
enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.
On July 22, 2009 Alice became
a resident of the Prairie View Healthcare Center in Tracy, where she died,
Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the age of 94.
Alice is survived by her two
sons, Myron Trulock and Roger (Diana) Trulock, both of Garvin, MN;
daughter-in-law, Lola (Trulock) McDonald; eight grandchildren; fourteen great
grandchildren; one sister, Alvera Sik of Hendricks, MN; one brother, Norman
(Juanita) Lang of Venetta, OR; one sister-in-law, Marcella Lang of Starbuck,
MN; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her two sons, Eugene and Dale,
her parents, daughter-in-law, Sandy Trulock, three brothers, Alvin, Don and
Millard Lang and two sisters, Mildred Gehrts and Helen Klein preceded her in
death.
The family requests that
memorials be given to either: Zion Lutheran Church or the Compassionate Care Hospice.
Allen Williams, 67, of
Rixeville VA, formerly of Tracy-Amiret area, a Tracy High School graduate
passed away Sat., Jan. 26, 2013 at his home in Rixeville. Funeral arrangements
are pending in Culpeper VA.
