Constance Andries, 81

 

Funeral services for Constance Andries, 81, of Prescott, AZ, formerly of Tracy, were held at  2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Almlie-Horvath Funeral Home of Tracy.  Interment followed the service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Tracy. 

Constance died on Thursday, November 06, 2014, at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Prescott, AZ.

 

Robert Knott, 83

 

Robert Earl Knott, 83 years old of rural Tracy died November 3, 2014.

Bob was born to Earl and Ruth (Nelson) Knott on November 20, 1930 in Wadena, Minnesota.  He was Baptized and later Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove.  He attended country school in Springdale township, Redwood County and later Tracy Public School, graduating in 1948.

On April 9th, 1949, he married Viola Johnson.  They made their home on the family farm.  Bob and Vi were blessed with four sons.

In his youth, he walked alongside his dad and learned what it took to be a successful farmer.  With this knowledge he continued his love of the land and farming until his final day.

Bob enjoyed the beauty of God’s creation; hunting and fishing and the details of others adventures.  Reading was a passion with him and it seemed he was always in the middle of a good book.  If there was a game of Texas Hold-Em starting up, Bob would take a seat.  His story telling of past experiences were favorite times for family and friends.

Bob’s favorite time of the year was when it was time to head west to buy feeder cattle.  He made many friendships and shared a bunch of good times at the sale barns in South Dakota, especially Ft. Pierre.

Robert was a director on the Tracy Co-Op Elevator Board for many years and held numerous positions on the Council of Zion Lutheran Church. 

A devoted husband and father, Bob leaves behind his beloved wife Viola, sons Steve (Cookie), Tracy; Charlie (Paula), Howard Lake, MN; Mike (Julie), Corvallis, Montana;  David (Kris), Tracy; daughter-in-law Jean Knott, Russell.

Grandchildren: Sarah (Chad) Kemp, Chaska;  Jeffrey (Jeanne) Knott, Amiret;   Andrew (Sue) Knott, Chaska,; Heather Knott. Howard Lake; Stephanie (Bill) Plastow,  Mitchell, SD; Corey (Laura) Knott, Howard Lake; Catherine (Luther) Talks, St. Paul; Matthew Knott, Salmon, Idaho; Bill Knott (Jessica Bakker), Karlstad; John Knott, Brookings, SD; Gary Knott (Brittanie Carlson) Tracy; Suzanne (Nourake) Moua; Tracy.

Great grandchildren: Nolan Kemp, Abiah Plastow,          Austin Kemp,  Jada Plastow, Marin Knott,     Brandon Knott, Elsie Knott, Jaxon Knott, Shelby Knott,  Mekhi Moua, Maria Knott    Myhlez Moua, Alyssa Knott, Jayvin  Knott; sister in laws Eldora Buchholz and Emiko Johnson, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Ruth Knott.
