Lorilee Hansen, 67

Lorilee R. Hansen (Buchholz), 67, of Overland Park, Kansas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 15, 2015.

Lorilee was born May 6, 1948 in Tracy, MN.  Her parents were Henry and Leona (Drake) Buchholz. 

She is survived by her two sons, David Klein, Shawnee, KS and Chad Hansen, Sioux Falls, SD and by her five grandchildren.

Lorilee loved her family, loved to laugh and loved the Lord. She will be dearly missed.

Sander Ludeman, 89

The funeral service for Sander A. Ludeman, 89, of Tracy, will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Tracy Lutheran Church in Tracy.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Sharing of Memories at 7:00 p.m. at Almlie-Horvath Funeral Home (family viewing will be at 4:00 p.m.).  Visitation will continue from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.  Interment will follow the service at the Tracy City Cemetery.

Sander died on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at the Sanford Tracy Medical Center.  He had been a resident at Prairie View Senior Living for only a few weeks before he passed away.

Sander Allen Ludeman IV was born on September 17, 1925.  He moved to the family farm north of Tracy at age six with his parents.  He lived and worked there through school and marriage.  Sander attended several country schools and had his older sister, Bernice, as a teacher at one time.  Sander graduated from Tracy High School in 1943.  He married Mary Lou Starken on November 28, 1946, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Tracy.  They shared 60 years of marriage and lived on the farm until 2005 when they moved to Tracy.  Mary Lou passed away in 2007.

He eventually took over the family farm after working beside his father and brother for a number of years and raised his family of four sons, Sandy, Paul, Brian and Cal there.  He was successful enough to allow a number of his sons to later join him in operating SanMarBo Farms, a diversified crop and livestock operation.  His business reputation was one of prudent decisions, paying bills on time, working hard, sharing and owning machinery with neighbors, and helping young people get started in business.  For many years, he operated a silo-filling operation that about a dozen neighbors joined in getting that job done for each other.

Sander was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church until it merged with Tracy Lutheran in 1962 and served on both church councils in a number of roles.  He was currently a member of the Men’s Bible Study and led the lesson one week prior to his death.  He served over twenty years as Secretary-Treasurer of the Tracy Farmers Coop Elevator and over twenty years as a board member for Lyon-Lincoln Electric Coop.  He was a school board member for Amiret country school until it consolidated with Tracy and then later served on the Tracy School Board for a number of terms.  He was a charter member of the Tracy Lions, served as President and pulled the Lions float for over twenty years in the Box Car Days and neighboring community parades.  He worked closely with Mary Lou on many Wheels Across the Prairie Museum projects and served on the board for a number of years.

Sander’s first love was the farm and he enjoyed seeing the crops grow and working with livestock.  In later years, he would often do an almost daily road tour to see how the boys were doing their work.  He and Mary Lou had the opportunity to travel, he was an avid reader, and he enjoyed watching his sons and grandchildren in high school sports.  Sander had a love for cars and enjoyed the art of buying and selling them.  He loved visiting and socializing with not only friends, but also complete strangers.  Often, in a very short time whether it be a medical waiting room, an auction, or some other function.  He could soon tell you where everyone was from and what they did.  He sometimes was a good-hearted tease, especially to his grandchildren and great grandchildren but was also a great storyteller.  Sander enjoyed arm-wrestling into his fifties, tractor pulling, and occasionally would do a comedy act called “Weeping Willie.”  While he liked farm machinery of most any color, he was particularly interested in 560 Farmalls.  He marveled at the changes he had seen in agriculture in his lifetime, from loading bundles as a teenager on a horse-drawn rack to today’s combines that would harvest the same in minutes.

Survivors include three sons, Sandy (and Peggy) Ludeman and their children:  grandson Sander (and Breanna) Ludeman, great-grandchildren Sander, Camden, granddaughter Dayna (and Ben) Bassett, great grandchildren Miles and Cora, son Brian (and Bonnie) Ludeman and their children:  granddaughter Amanda (and Seth) Thompson, great-grandchildren Madelyn, Paige and Chloe, grandson Lucas (and Laura) Ludeman and great-grandchildren Landon, Lawson and Layton, son Cal (and Debra) Ludeman and their children:  grandson Ben (and Stacy) Ludeman, great-grandchildren Kendra, Brooklyn and Sheridan, granddaughter Hilary (and Paul) Sanders and great-grandchildren Audrey, Marissa, Natalie, Trenton, Darian, and Hayden, grandson Grant (and Karolina) Ludeman and great-grandchildren Alison, Katelyn and Nathan, and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou, son Paul, parents Sander and Pauline, sister Bernice and brother Loren.

Anna Rolling, 90

Anna “Anne” Lillian Rolling, age 90 of Tracy, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy.   Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Calvary Catholic Cemetery.  Online condolences may be placed at www.almlie-horvath.com.  The Almlie-Horvath Funeral Service of Tracy is caring for the family.

Anna Lillian Rolling was born August 2, 1924 to George and Emma Franke in Baltimore, Maryland.  During WWII she was employed by Martin Aircraft Company where she met her future husband.  On December 31, 1944, Anne was united in marriage to Donald Rolling at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Baltimore, Maryland.  The couple moved back to the Rolling family farm southwest of Tracy where Donald farmed until retiring in 1980.  After retirement, they moved into Tracy.  As a long time member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Anne was very active.  She was a Eucharistic Minister, Sacristan, member of the Ladies Guild and Catholic Christian Workers and former member of Catholic Daughters. 

Anne enjoyed sewing, knitting, and collecting dolls.  For quite a few years she assisted Father three days a week with serving communion and setting up for masses.  Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

On Wednesday, May 13, 2015 Anne passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy at the age of 90.

She is survived by her five sons Robert Rolling of Monticello, Nicholas (and Betty) Rolling of Spokane, WA, Steven (and Pat) of Gold Canyon, AZ, David (and Sandi) Rolling of River Falls, WI, and Ronald Rolling of Tracy; twin brother Barron (and Mary) Franke of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren Scott, Kurt, Tonya, and Wendy, and five great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Don, one sister Rita, one brother George, and daughter-in-law Bonnie.

Arnie Williams, 76

Arnie Leroy Williams, age 76, of Marshall, formerly of Lynd, Minnesota passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Minneota Manor Care Center in Minneota.  Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Christ United Presbyterian Church in Marshall.  Interment was  in the Lynd City Cemetery. 

Arnold Leroy Williams was born at home on June 17, 1938 in Amiret, Minnesota.  He was the son of Harold and Irene (Loke) Williams.  Arnie was baptized, confirmed, and received first communion at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy, Minnesota.  He attended school in Tracy and graduated with the class of 1956.  Arnie went on to serve in the National Guard.  He worked at Runnings and Schwan’s before he started driving truck. 

On March 8, 1958, Arnie was united in marriage to Beverly Engelking in St. James, Minnesota. The couple spent 23 years together and raised 5 children: Jeff, Jeanne, Tracey, Tammy, and Melissa.  They lived near Marshall until 1989 when Arnie moved to Lynd.  He would spend 20 years there before moving into Hill Street Place in Marshall where he gained many friends.  When Arnie needed more assistance with his daily care he moved to the Minneota Manor in September of 2014.

Arnie was a true “cowboy trucker” who spent over 40 years on the road for both Ralco and Floyd Wild. He was a past member of the Circle Star Saddle Club and loved everything surrounding horses.  He befriended others easily and was always ready with a witty comment or interesting story.  Laughter and a smile were never hard to come by.  Arnie’s others enjoyments included hunting, playing cards, visiting his Hill Street friends, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Arnie died on Monday, May 11, 2015, in Minneota, Minnesota at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 24 days. 

Arnie is survived by his children, Jeff Williams of Marshall, MN, Jeanne (and Brian) Cramer of St. Charles, IL, Tracey (and John) St. Aubin of Salina, KS, Tammy (and Chad) Regnier of Sartell, MN, Melissa (and Jon) Roesler of Pierre, SD; 12 grandchildren, Jessica (and Kevin) Schulte, Nick Cramer, Zach Cramer, Ben Cramer, Nate (and Melissa) St. Aubin, Nicole (and Adam) Stewart, Nolan St. Aubin, Ashley Regnier, Taylor Regnier, Logan Meyer, Kaylee Roesler, Hannah Roesler; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Dianne Karlstad (and fiancé, Harold Hess) of Lynd, MN; brothers-in-law, Doug Karlstad of Lynd, MN, Merlyn Cadwell of Marshall, MN, Ted Versluys of Salina, KS; sister-in-law, Gloria Williams of Ashby, MN; mother of his children, Bev (and Wayne) Satern of St. James, MN; many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Irene Williams; grandson, Josh Williams; 9 brothers and 5 sisters.
