Ruth Molitor, 82

Ruth Molitor, age 82 of Mountain Lake, died Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Sanford Medical in Sioux Falls, SD.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake and will continue on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 10:30 a.m.
The clergy will be Father Patrick Arens.
Interment will be at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Windom.
Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake.

Ruth Mary Molitor was born June 23, 1933, in Tracy, MN to Leo and Mary (Cote) Schons. She graduated from Currie High School and was united in marriage to Severin Molitor on June 10, 1952, at the Currie Catholic Church. Ruth raised 8 children and her 2 youngest brothers until 1973. She then worked in the Dietary field until her retirement in 1993. Ruth worked at Head Start in the Foster Grandparent program for many years and also volunteered for the Reader Program for children at the high rise. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Windom and was a former member of a card club in Mountain Lake. Ruth enjoyed sewing, raising flowers, embroidery, and making quilts. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling, and Neil Diamond. Ruth especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.



She is survived by her children- James Molitor of Lucan, Margaret (Tom) Gosen of Mountain Lake, Anthony (Lori) Molitor of Big Lake, Collette Neisen of Wood Lake, Jerome (Marlys) Molitor of Mountain Lake, Daniel Molitor of Mountain Lake, and Paul (Deb) Molitor of Mountain Lake; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters- Alice (Charlie) Dudley of Osprey, FL, and Sister Avis Schons of Stewartville; and brothers- Kenny (Audrey) Schons of Sleepy Eye, Bill (Deloris) Schons of Hutchinson, and John (Carlene) Schons of Fairmont.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Severin in 1980; daughter Karen in 2015; granddaughter Sara Roozen; sister Elaine (Gerald) Ruppert; and brother Bernard Schons.

 

Bryan VanDeWiele, 39

Bryan Maurice VanDeWiele, 39, of Knapp, WI, died unexpectedly Thurs., Sept. 3, 2015. 

He was born on March 5, 1976 at Shaw AFB, (SC) to Douglas and Jeanne (Nelson) VanDeWiele.  He attended several schools throughout his life including St. Mary’s School in Tracy, MN.  He graduated from Menomonie High School in Menomonie, WI in 1994.

Bryan is survived by his children, Aleksis (11) and Devon (7) of Knapp, WI; parents, Douglas and Jeanne; brother Bejamin and his wife Ronalyn of Hersey, WI; grandparents Maurice and Judy VanDeWiele of Tracy, MN; one niece of the Philippines and many other family members and friends.

Funeral service was held on Thurs., Sept. 10, 2015 at the Gospel Mission Church in Knapp, WI.  A Celebration of Life followed.
