Madalyn Lasnetske, 92

Mass of Christian Burial for Madalyn Lasnetske, 92, of Tracy, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church.  Interment will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy.

Madalyn died on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Prairie View Senior Living Center in Tracy.

Gertrude Weedman, 92

Services for Gertrude Weedman, age 92 of Springfield, were held at the St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m.
 The clergy will be Pastor Julie Smith.
Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery.
 Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.

Gertrude Anna Mary Rosenau was born in Eldridge, ND on February 1, 1923, to Herman and Marie (Trebesch) Rosenau. After moving to Minnesota, they lived on a farm by Lamberton. Gertrude graduated from Lamberton High School. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Weedman on November 6, 1942, at the Zion Lutheran Parsonage in Sanborn. When Kenneth returned from the service, they farmed by Wanda and later by Marshall where Gertrude worked as a seamstress at Carrow Cleaners. Later they moved to a hobby farm by Walnut Grove, then to Springfield.

Gertrude always enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, sewing and quilting. She became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield on November 4, 2014, where she enjoyed the activities they had available.



Gertrude Weedman died Saturday, January 23, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Home at the age of 92 years.



She is survived by son Duane (Bev) Weedman of Tracy; daughter Diane (Grant) Lade of Springfield; 8 grandchildren- Troy Lade, Jason Lade, Shannon Sammons, Michelle Marotzke, Amber Greely, Heidi Bitker, Dustin Weedman, and Amanda Weedman; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters- Irene McKelvey of Seattle, WA, Mary Haas of Springfield, and Deloris Reinarts of Tracy; sisters-in-law- Mary Ann Hansen of Hutchinson and Lorna Weedman of New Ulm; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Marie Rosenau; husband Kenneth in 2006; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
