The Irish scored two third-inning runs and made them hold up in a 2-0 win over Granite Falls on Sunday.
Derek Smith had a hit, RBI and scored a run, and Tyler Peterson drove in the other Milroy run.
Craig Lasley picked up the win, and Trevor Smith the save for the Irish.
The Irish are seeded second in Region 10C behind Windom. They were scheduled to begin playoff action at home on Wednesday against Lakefield. Results were not available when this week’s paper went to press.
