
Lois M. Reinert, 75 of Willmar (formerly of Tracy), passed away peacefully surrounded by family, Friday, July 18, 2025.
Lois Marie Bowers was born July 27, 1949 in Redwood Falls, MN, to Arlo and Gladys (Grund Sube) Bowers. She was the second oldest of four children. She graduated from Morgan High School in 1967. She continued her education and graduated with a teaching degree from Southwest State University in Marshall in 1971.
She married Joseph Pallansch, they were blessed with two sons, Joseph and Nicholas. She later married Charles Reinert, they made their home in Tracy.
Lois taught science at Holy Trinity Junior and Senior High School in Winsted, MN from 1971-1977. She worked as a nursing assistant at a nursing home in Howard Lake, MN during the 1980’s. She was also a paraprofessional in Biology at Southwest State University from 1991-1998. She ran Reinert Honey with Chuck from 19911999.
Lois enjoyed woodworking, simple toy making, and being an amateur wildlife photographer. She won many awards and ribbons for her photography. She will be missed by the many people who routinely received her newsletters and amazing nature photos. She loved the outdoors and could often be found taking pictures at the state park. She especially enjoyed her trip to the BWCA. She also enjoyed mowing her lawn and growing wildflowers. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and teaching them about the outdoors.
Lois is survived by her loving sons, Joseph (Melissa) Pallansch, Nicholas (Teresa) Pallansch; stepson: Peter Reinert; stepdaughter: Charly (Patrick) Stansbery; beloved grandchildren Hannah, Eirik, Evan, Frija, Keegan, Katrina, Cayley, Morgan, Lucy, Chase, Adelynn, and Jeremy; brother Dale Bowers; brother-in-law, Harold Deal.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reinert; parents, and brothers: Steven and David Bowers.
