Starwatch programs scheduled for Lake Shetek, Camden state parks

Park visitors will be treated to star gazing events on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23, according to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

With the night sky as the featured attraction, join well-known stargazing guide Mike Lynch for a star watch event at Lake Shetek State Park, just north of Currie, on Aug. 22 and Camden State Park, south of Marshall, on Aug. 23. Both programs will take place 8:30-10:30 p.m.

Get to know constellations like The Big Bear, Cygnus the Swan, Pegasus the Winged Horse, and others. Great constellation mythological stories will also be featured! We’ll have giant telescopes aimed at Saturn, star clusters, galaxies, and more.
