Storyteller to give Wilder talk

The Lyon County Museum is bringing back professional storyteller Pati Kachel for a program on Laura Ingalls Wilder on Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m. Free will donation and light refreshments will be served.

For four decades, Kachel has performed her original one-woman shows in schools, libraries, churches and senior centers. She specializes in bringing history to life through her costumed characterizations of inspiring women. She will be authentically portraying Wilder.

The setting of this program is 1935, when Wilder had finally become a best-selling children’s book author at the age of 68. Wilder’s “Little House” books were based on her own childhood memories.
