Admittedly, it was a typical “first game” for two inexperienced ball clubs but the fact remains that the Scrappers did keep plugging away until the tide turned in their favor. Tracy iced the game on a 67 yard march as Bob Shoeman went over from the two yard stripe and took a Doug Johnson pass for the extra point and a 21-0 margin with a few minutes left.

Defensively against Redwood Falls, the Scrappers showed improvement too. Redwood Falls rushed 30 times for only 80 yards, with 41 of the 80 coming on one carry. In the air.
