Panther cross country team run in Windom

The TMB boys’ country team finished sixth out of 10 teams but were just five points away from taking fourth at Tuesday’s Windom Eagle Invitational.

Leading the way for the Panthers was Jaxter Pfarr, who took 19th with a time of 20:37.86.

Behind him were Weston Marten (21st at 21:12.56); Jackson Jenniges (24th at 21:42.40); Taylor Squires (25th at 21:45.78); Logan Petersen (33rd at 22:37.07); Owen Beier (44th at 23:19.66); Noah Schmidt (52nd at 24:07.25); Sam Wiborg (55th at 24:50.66 in his first varsity race); Owen Maguire (57th at 25:24.85); Tyson Peterson (63rd at 27:13.97); and Adam Hippe (70th at 32:39.76).

For the TMB girls, Miranda Mischke finished as the Panthers’ top runner, finishing 10th with a time of 23:47.97. It marked the third time in four meets that she has placed. Lainey Jackels, running in her first varsity race, was right behind her in 11th place with a time of 24:02.10.

Evelyn Rentschler was 47th at 31:51.54; Jaeda Nelson was 53rd at 41:35.33, and Payton Daniels ran a 43:29.85 for 54th place.

Gatlin Struchen had a new PR in the 1,600-meter race with a time of 7:55.

“Overall, we had another great race, and we continue to look to improve every day,” TMB coach Billy Dean said.
