The Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota’s LSS Meals and Meals on Wheels program has been granted $10,000 by the United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) as a community impact grant. The funding will assist in providing meals for lowincome seniors who are unable to contribute financially. This initiative is in line with its Healthy Communities focus area.
UWSWMN makes a difference in the lives of local people in its service area by investing in programs focused on Youth Opportunity, Healthy Communities, Financial Security and Community Resilience. UWSWMN’s service area includes communities in Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Yellow Medicine, and portions of Cottonwood, Lac qui Parle, Nobles and Redwood counties.
