Jaxter Pfarr paced the Tracy-Milroy-Balaton/ Westbrook-Walnut Grove boys’ cross country team at the Redwood Valley Invitational last Thursday in Redwood Falls.
The Panthers finshed sixth overall against some of the top teams in the region.
“It was a very competitive field with Marshall, Redwood, Windom, and Minnesota Valley Lutheran all having very tough teams,” TMB/WWG coach Billy Dean said. “Overall, we ran hard and met a lot of personal best times.”
Pfarr finisheded with a time of 19:43 for 39th place, and Weston Marten took 40th place at 19:54.
Other finishers for the boys were: Taylor Squires (47th at 20:15); Jackson Jenniges (58th at 20:53); Logan Petersen (69th at 21:40); Owen Beier (69th at 21:40); Noah Schmidt (78th at 22:14); Sam Wiborg (97th at 24:03); Tyson Peterson (99th at 24:29); Owen Maguire (102nd at 24:41); Gatlin Struchen (105th at 25:27); and Adam Hippe (113rd at 32:06). Beier, Schmidt, Wiborg, Peterson, Struchen and Hippe all had PRs.
Lainey Jackels was first for the TMB girls with at time of 23:13, good for 16th place. Right behind was Miranda Mischke at 23:28. Evelyn Rentschler was 45th at 28:46. Both received ribbons.
For the C team, 10th place went to Gracelynn Struchen, who finished at 14:51. Stella Munson was 12th at 15:11; Jaeda Nelson was 13th at 15:26; and Payton Daniels was 16th with a time of 20:14. Each of them recorded their PRS.
For the TMB boys, Xander Brinkley was 25th at 14:21 and Trajan Swanjord was 26th at 16:51, a new PR for him.
“We had a lot of new PRs in this race and I was very happy with all of our runners,” Dean said.
TMB/WWG will run at Luverne today (Oct. 2).
