powderpuff ‘25 — defense rules!
TRACY AREA HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR (ABOVE) AND SENIOR GIRLS took to the gridiron last Friday for the 23rd annual TMB Powderpuff Football game. And for the first time in Powderpuff history, the game ended in a 0-0 tie. That meant overtime, where both teams got a shot at the end zone from the 3-yardline. Melaina Ankum broke the tie with a touchdown run to put the juniors up 6-0. Then, it was the seniors’ turn, but they were turned away on a touchdownsaving tackle by Allie Adams. After the game, the role reversal continued, as Homecoming king canddiates and footbal players showed off their cheerleading chops at the pep fest. Sorry girls, while David Schuh — pictured being lifted by his teammates at left — might wear a tight, cropped T-shirt well, he is a much better running back then he is a flyer. Photos / Per Peterson
