High-speed pursuit in Redwood County covers between 30-40 miles

A Redwood County Deputy on Oct. 13, at about 1:30 a.m. attempted to conduct a traffic stop with a 2001 white Cadillac Seville near the intersection of Noble Avenue south of U.S. Hwy. 71 in Redwood County.

The vehicle fled the deputy at a high rate of speed, initating a pursuit that lasted approximately 52 minutes and covered anywhere from 30-40 miles.

The pursuit ended near Crown Avenue and 300th St. where the Cadillac traveled off road and became disabled. Subsequently, the driver and passenger were taken into custody without incident.

No injuries were sustained during the incident. Assisting in the pursuit involved the Redwood Falls Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, and Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.

This case remains under investigation by the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office.
