Air attack propels Panthers past BOLD, 42-12

The Panthers recorded their second straight blowout win last Wednesday, crushing BOLD 40-12 in Olivia.

Aiden Sanow threw two touchdown passes to Griffin Zick and one to Jackson Kruse while completing 9-of-12 throws for 250 yards, easily a season high.

Zick, Sanow’s main target all season, caught four passes for 158 yards and had one of three TMB interceptions — Connor Lanoue and Emery Xiong had the others.

David Schuh passed the 100-yard mark on the ground once again, gaining 119 yards and 18 carries. He also scored twice.

Defensively, Sy Sanders had six tackles, including two for loss, Talon Brinkley had five tackles, and Schuh and Oakley Bornitz both had four for the TMB defense that allowed just 38 yards through the air in gaining their second straight win for a 4-4 record.

TME got things going early when Sanow connected with Kruse for a 51-yard TD pass. Kruse scored the Panthers’ second touchdown with a 4-yard run in the first quarter, and Sanow threw his second long TD pass in the second, this time hitting Zick from 48 yards out.

Schuh then scored to put TMB up 24-0, and Lanoue’s two-point conversion run made it 26-0 before the Warriors got on the board.

Another long pass from Sanow to Zick gave the Panthers their fifth touchdown, and Schuh capped it off with a 3-yard score, also in the third quarter. Sanow had two 50-plusyard scoring passes and also ran for 34 yards on five carries.

The Panthers racked up 429 yards of offense in recording their most balanced offensive output of the season.
