THE HIGHWAY MEMORIAL that lists the names of the nine people killed in the 1968 tornado that swept through Tracy was struck by a car and knocked over in an accident at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The vehicle was a Lincoln with Wisconsin plates. It received minor damage to the driver’s side front fender. A bench at the memorial site was also damaged.
