Excerpts from past Tracy newspapers
Nov. 10, 1955 — The name of Roger Kerr, Tracy halfback, has been placed in nomination for All-Star honors by Scrapper grid Coach Leo Sebastian. Kerr spearheaded this year’s team to its fourth Nine Star Conference title and a 7-1 season record. He became the leading scorer in the Nine Star Confercnce and averaged better than 10 yards per carry during the season.
1965 — N/A Nov. 13, 1975 — Plans are being made to form a basketball club for the upcoming Tracy High School cage season. Persons interested in joining the club are asked to attend a meeting at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 in the teachers lounge. A regular meeting day will be determined at the meeting, along with selection of a club name. Coach Dale Hatch will speak at each meeting. Les Onken and Neil Simonson are chairing members for the new club.
Nov. 5, 1985 — The Milroy Spartans has captured the District 9 Volleyball championship for the fourth straight year. They did it by downing Ruthton 15-7, 15-4, losing 13-15 and coming back to thrash the Vikings in the fourth game, 15-2. The role of hitter was again led by Mary Jo Miller with 28 kills. She also served for 15 points. Senior Kathy Dolan registered 13 kills and 15 points.
Nov. 8, 1995 — The Panther volleyball program’s winning tradition just keeps getting bigger. For the ninth time in the past ten years, the Panther volleyball team will be competing in the Minnesota Class A volleyball tournament. The defending Class A volleyball champion Panthers leave Tracy on Thursday for the Twin Cities. Chris Brink led the team in hitting with 20 kills. She was followed Nadine Brandt with 15 and Kris DeRuyck with 12.

Nov. 11, 2015 — The Panther volleyball team is taking a 30-5 record to the state volleyball tournament this week. TMB, No. 2 in the last Class A coaches’ poll, didn’t lose a set in their final two matches last week. The Panthers beat Wabasso 25-14, 25-19, 25-19 in the championship game Saturday, after shutting out Windom in the Sub-Section South title game.
