and so it begins … ?
The beautiful weather we’ve been experiencing this week almost makes us forget about our first snowfall of the season back on Saturday.
The high Wednesday peaked at 52 degrees, a stark contrast to the low-30s we experienced from Nov. 8-10. Temps will continue to rise to the upper 50s today (Nov. 13), all the way to the mid-60s by Friday! The weekend will be a bit cooler, but nice nonetheless.
And then Round 2 of unpleasant weather will hit us early next week, with rain and/or snow chances for most of the week. The Thanksgiving forecast right now looks decent, so traveling should’t be an issue.

A LIGHT COATING OF SNOW could be found on everything from fallen leaves to pumpkins Saturday morning. By the time you see these photos, the snow will be gone, but it did make us all take notice that winter is ( gulp!) on its way. Photos / above and right Per Peterson, below Tara Brandl

DON’T WORRY ABOUT 6-YEAR-OLD LADY, a beagle who arrived in Tracy in June from Florida with his owners Jesse and Mary Wheelis — he prefers the cold weather over the hot and humid Florida climes. Jesse walks Lady every day for an hour, but on Sunday, the walk was limited to 45 minutes because of the 9-degree windchill. “She likes it cold,” Jesse said. Lady is also a pretty good rabbit hunter, his owner said, so it’s a safe bet that he’s enjoying everything that Minnesota has to offer.
