Excerpts from past Tracy newspapers 

Nov. 17, 1955 — Lucky Lane’s women leagues were represented at the Minnesota Women’s State Bowling Tournament in Duluth last Saturday and Sunday. Those participating were Eldora Knox, Noreen Knox, Stella Weaver, Darlene Lien and Elaine Knox of Minneapolis. The outcome of the tournament is unknown as yet, but the Tracy team “placed,” and bowled a team score of 2,557.

Nov. 18, 1965 — Tracy High School wrestlers, defending Region 11 champions, open the season at Luverne Tuesday night. B squad matches start at 6:30 p.m. Coach Chuck Peterson’s squad has five lettermen back in the starting lineup from a year ago. They are Jim Campbell, Steve Gempler, Dale Helleson, Keith Averill and Marv Kurtz.

Nov. 13, 1975 — N/A Nov. 12, 1985 — Allan Ackerman, a former Tracy student, was recently named most valuable defensive player for the 1985 Mankato West High School football team. Ackerman and his Family lived in Currie. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ackerman.

Nov. 15, 1995 — For the secondstraight year, the Tracy-Milroy Panthers have captured the Minnesota Class A volleyball championship. The Panthers didn’t lose a game in winning their fourth state volleyball championship since 1990.

Nov. 2005 — N/A Nov. 18, 2015 — A season-ending awards program reviewed Tracy-Milroy-Balaton’s Section 3A championship, state tournament entry and 10-2 season record. Six Panthers were honored with “all sub-district” awards: Brett Swenhaugen, Riley Kirk, Josh Kirk, Brady Lanoue, and Hayden Sanders. Tanner Deming-Phelps, and Spencer Smith were honorable mention.
