The Southwest Minnesota Men's Chorus will return to the area as part of its annual Christmas concert series.
They will perform at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Currie on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton on Sunday, December 7 at 4 p.m. and at Tracy Alliance Church in Tracy on Tuesday, December 9 at 7:00 p.m.
The Southwest Minnesota Men's Chorus, formerly known as the Marshall Area Men's Chorus, is made up of singers from many communities in Southwest Minnesota. The group rehearses weekly in Walnut Grove. Wendy Johnson, Tracy, is the chorus director. Kirsti Malmberg and Jodi Dalsgaard are the accompanists.
Musical selections at the concerts will include 'Joy to the World' by Dan Forrest, 'Shepherds, Shake Off Your Drowsy Sleep' by Robert Scholz, 'Gloria' by Otis Skillings and 'This Time of the Year' by Benton/Otis.
Small group ensembles will also be performing holiday selections.
The performance is part of a series of Christmas concerts in Currie, Lamberton, Springfield and Tracy.
