Excerpts from past Tracy newspapers 

Nov. 24, 1955 — Roger Kerr’s name has been submitted in nomination for an all-state post. As co-captain of the Scrappers, Kerr made an excellent record with his broken field running. He played left half on the single wing and quarterback on the “T.”

Dec. 2, 1965 — Trailing 21-11, Dave Van Meveren, Keither Averill and Brian Ludeman came through to win the final three matches and salvage a win for Coach Chuck Peterson’s varsity wrestling team in its opener.

Nov. 20, 1975 — Six returning letterwinners will lead the Tracy High School girls’ basketball team this year: Becky Hatch, Carla Creager, Lori Stengsaard, Dob Johns, Patti Hook and Jill Budolfson.

Nov. 19, 1985 — Even though they lost all five starters to graduation, the Tracy High School boys’ basketball team has high hopes for the 198586 season. Gone are All-Conference players Duane Hatch, Tim Onken and Brian Koopman. Back are, Stacy Sletten, Mark Peterson, Greg Shaw, Kendall Osland, David Christian and Bob Gervais.

Nov. 22, 1995 — Returning wrestling letterwinners for the Panthers this year are Trevor Humphrey, Adam Raymond, Phil Skoglund, Jeff Goodman, Kelly Schmidt, Matt Rogers, Rick Johnson, Grant Ludeman, Ryan Hemmingsen and Andy Knott.

Nov. 23, 2005 — Returning lettermen for the Panther boys’ hoops team include Derek Radke, Gary Knott, Spencer Zwaschka, Cory Warner, Isaac Dolan, Taylor Rignell, Kyle McIntire, Andrew Prairie and Drew Nelson.

Nov. 25, 2015 — The Panther boys cruised to a 68-34 season-opening victory over WWG. Four TMB players scored in double figures: Josh Kirk 17, Spencer Smith 14, Riley Kirk 11, and Brett Swenhaugen 11.
