First Interstate Bank closing Marshall branch

First Interstate Bank is permanently closing its Marshall branch, effective Friday, Feb. 27, 2026.

In a Nov. 17 letter to customers, Market President Jeff Scheel said the decision to close was not an easy one and that customers can continue to visit the Marshall branch until the closure date.

After Feb. 27, all accounts will be managed by the First Interstate Bank team in Brookings, SD; clients with safe deposit boxes received separate letters.
